Length of draws are pretty much the same.
If anything, they MIGHT be a little shorter on the ZMAX but probably not.

I don't know what that means as far as reaching peak performance.
But I have only charged the 18350 about six times now.

It seems to be getting worse, as today it only lasted a few hours.
And in fact I just finished recharging it a second time.

My Twists generally last all day except for unusual circumstances of high usage.

I'm not sure of the cutoff points as I really never hit cutoff on either device.

It could be that you are attributing something to the battery when the cause of the difference might be something else.

btw: mean or rms ? !!

What then are you using to Determine - Not lasting?
My vaping habits are extremely consistent.
In this case not lasting means same usage but dying way too soon.
We need more details. Type of charger? What kind of service feeds into the house (solar and wind can throw a battery off)? 110 or 220 outlet? Ambient temperature of the room and the battery? Are you charging it all the way (A charger isn't like a microwave, it takes time)? Did you read the instructions on the Zmax? Do you live close to a cell tower? Date of last menstrual cycle in the home? Do you own a cat? I hate it when noobs come in and don't give us all the info we need to problem solve. You know better DC!
I bought this charger...
Battery Charger for Electronic Cigarettes, Digital Single Bay Charger

I don't see any of the other questions as being relevant...
Except that I own a dog, not a cat.

Maybe that's the problem?
;)

Yeah, could be.
Like to know what it could be though.
:D

I guess it's either the battery, the charger, or the device.
I'm hoping it's the battery because I bought 9 of these devices for Vapocalypse.

Not that I know the difference, but I set it to RMS because the manual "recommended" that.
It actually came in the box set to Mean.

I have three 650 mah VV batts. 1 eGo, 2 Evod. These are my go to vapes. I have 2 Sigelei ZMax with efest 18350 700 mah as backup. I can't tell any difference in battery life.

One possibility is that you're running the ZMax in wattage mode. I can't remember which of my (now several) Mods it was but the manual for one of them stated that running in voltage mode is more efficient. I think the only way to get an honest comparison of battery life is to run your ZMax at exactly the same settings as your ego.:2c:

Well my friend, I think that is the problem. If you can't see how temperature fluctuations and menstruation cycles affect battery longevity, then I can't help you and I'll need to wash my hands of this.

1: well hey maybe the dog licked you battery!
2: you are hoping it's the battery because you bought 9 of the devices, but its probably the device.

3: Mean vs RMS; don't trust the numbers you see on two different devices:

If you want to properly compare the 2, set the zmax to voltage mode and use a multimeter to check the voltage of both the zmax and the ego type battery and make sure you have them both set the same.

3: There it is; you have it set to MEAN instead of RMS so your wattage is higher than what you set it as.

    What?

I'll switch to voltage mode and see if that makes a difference.
Did you purchase more than one Battery?
No, I wasn't planning on using these devices unless Vapocalypse.
I just bought one battery so I could test the devices out before stashing them away.

I'll probably buy another and try that one, just to make sure.
I think the most likely explanation has already been stated. The Zmax needs more power to run.
Yeah, that is sounding like a pretty likely explanation.
Fortunately, these things are telescoping, so I can use larger batteries.

    Anyway, thanks everyone.
    :)
