I'm not entirely sure I agree with the "master first then experiment" thing...I'd be concerned with the frustration aspect and losing someone because they're like "screw it, I can't do this genny rba thing, I'm going back to attys, cartos, etc..." where as if you have some various cotton types at your little building station and you've hit the wall with mesh, play with the cotton...and vice/versa (because getting cotton to work perfectly isn't exactly a slam dunk)...as far as I'm concerned both media's have merit, both produce great results, both require a little practice and skill and some of skills are transferable from one to another.

I say take on both at the same time :)

apparently amber has had no luck getting the mesh to wick in the defcon ...........

Found the cotton roll at CVS! Got it set up, and then pulled one of my silver posts loose. Awesome.

Ever have one of those days when everything breaks and/or tastes like bunghole? I hate it. I never think about analogs, except on days like this. ::sigh::

Been there Cyrus...but hang in there, besides, I went out for a smoke with my wife a couple nights ago at the pub and took a drag...just about barfed...

Is that a common issue with those Defcons?...by the sounds of a couple posts back it is by virtue of the decision to put in a fill hole (aka breather) that it might be?

My DefCon had no such wicking issues, but I also ensured the coils where loosely wrapped on the bottom of the wick, and tighter St the top, to ensure the juice was able to feed to the top without issue.

My RDA and RTA should be here next week :) I can't wait to try those out with cotton. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Ok, we've gone from cotton wick, to using cotton ball wicks...and now "Bunny Balls"...come on!, pretty tough to be talking to my vaping buddies, ya, I'm running a couple 4000mAh MNKE IMR-26650 in series reg'd with a tact switched OKR 6T through 16 awg silver powering my long mode Ody...that has a "bunny Ball" wick in it...

I'm a guy, "Bunny Ball" wicks is not cool perlion

Vape Bunnies sounds way better.

Oh I'm not bashing his device, good on him for all his good work, besides POC's first Katana's where dry hit city with some peeps...all I know is when I built my Frankengenesis I messed with that thing forever working out the kinks, the addition of a breather hole was a quantum leap in performance...amazing what you learn about these things when you try and build one

I have been messing with rolling and coiling for a few weeks now. I'm a finish carpenter so I'm fairly handy... I have found it to be quite the challange. So thats why I inserted my 2c about the cotton thing. I think because I just got approach A to work, trying B seems daunting. I want to see clouds of flavorfull vapor from mesh, consistently, before I try to make a whole new system work. Also I see all you Pros here experimenting, and not all agreeing, so I'm thinking I'll wait for you guys to say ok here it is, this is what you do and thats that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but keeping up w this thread is like following 4 diff paths all at once. I'm pretty sure I've seen at least 5-6 different materials, everything from farm animals to organic yarn. So before I go investing in livestock, I would like for you guys to get your ducks in a row.
Excellent reference of animals before my 2nd cup of coffee. TY

EDIT: Are you saying cotton or yarn or whatever the final answer is, is easier than mesh?
