It's not the easiest thing taking the wick out of a ce2 and stringing in some cotton but once you have it right, it's awesome and I think it's a great place to start. It's easier if you can make your own coils but I learned a lot doing that.
I'm not entirely sure I agree with the "master first then experiment" thing...I'd be concerned with the frustration aspect and losing someone because they're like "screw it, I can't do this genny rba thing, I'm going back to attys, cartos, etc..." where as if you have some various cotton types at your little building station and you've hit the wall with mesh, play with the cotton...and vice/versa (because getting cotton to work perfectly isn't exactly a slam dunk)...as far as I'm concerned both media's have merit, both produce great results, both require a little practice and skill and some of skills are transferable from one to another.
I say take on both at the same time![]()
I know, I just don't like these daysthank you for the support sir !
Found the cotton roll at CVS! Got it set up, and then pulled one of my silver posts loose. Awesome.
Ever have one of those days when everything breaks and/or tastes like bunghole? I hate it. I never think about analogs, except on days like this. ::sigh::
apparently amber has had no luck getting the mesh to wick in the defcon ...........
Is that a common issue with those Defcons?...by the sounds of a couple posts back it is by virtue of the decision to put in a fill hole (aka breather) that it might be?
Ok, we've gone from cotton wick, to using cotton ball wicks...and now "Bunny Balls"...come on!, pretty tough to be talking to my vaping buddies, ya, I'm running a couple 4000mAh MNKE IMR-26650 in series reg'd with a tact switched OKR 6T through 16 awg silver powering my long mode Ody...that has a "bunny Ball" wick in it...
I'm a guy, "Bunny Ball" wicks is not cool perlion![]()

nope - but there have been a few reports along those lines. amber got a defcon that had been rewrapped by the previous owner .....
and i think chopper is in pursuit of a perfect rba
I put cotton yarn on my hybrid. Works good. So far
