Rayon or Koh Gen Do, imo.

That is a very subjective question, that depends on preferences.
I personally prefer organic cotton, or Japanese cotton.
Some prefer rayon, some prefer stainless steel, some prefer hemp, some prefer ceramic.
What do you prefer, is the better question.

Readyxwick here too. It's not that I don't like cotton, it's just that RxW is like the energizer bunny, it just keeps going and going and going. With proper care of course, and by care I mean just a simple rinse and dry burn. It's expensive but a quarter inch piece can last a long time.
I bought a package of Koh Gen Doh. Should last me a few years. I am very happy with it.

Basically, wick it like cotton, but use a little more as it will shrink when wet.

Well I was using organic cotton balls, and recently switched to the Shiseido. For those that use the cotton, how often do you switch it out? I change mine out at least once a day. Also, with the Shiseido is it supposed to be similar to KGD?

I also use Shiseido. Great and easy to work with and yes it's similar to KGD.
I swap out my wicks when I feel like it needs done. Longest I've gone is 4 days but most often it's every other day.
I switched from Organic cotton balls to Koh Gen Doh and it's way better, wicks quicker with no break in period, just great flavor from the get go.
I change mine out daily for the most part...sometimes ill go a couple days...depends on the juice being used and what I am switching out to
I'm a cereal coiler and wicker myself. Koh Gen Doh, Sheseido, Cellucotton, Peaches and Cream( when I'm in the mood to blow massive clouds), mesh and ceramic and even a little Eco-wool in my fiber fill units. My current go to has been Cotton Bacon in the drippers. Some give out better flavors than others depending on atty and build.
As far as when to re-wick, this can change depending on the juice and the power of the coil but, in general, I tend to re-wick as soon as the flavors start heading south.
Taste is so subjective. The Sheseido is very good and a fine choice. For me, the KGD is even better and the Cotton Bacon is even a little better again.
The only one I do not like is the garden variety organic cotton balls from any pharmacy USA. I know a lot of people are quite happy with it but for me it takes too long to break in and I get the taste of soap from it.

I am sure no expert, but so far what I have used is Silica wick, cotton, and rayon. Rayon is now my preferred wicking material. I use it in a Kayfun, Magma dripper, and PT2. Easy to work with, good taste, who could ask for anything more.

Distorto is correct, they are one and the same - kinda like Advil and Motrin. They both contain ibuprofen.
Rayon and cellucotton are both pure cellulose fiber.
I liked rayon, but I like KGH (in my case "Cotton Labo" from amazon, since its cheaper and the same thing)... its easier to work with... haven't tried cotton bacon yet...
Although, Rayon did seem to last longer and switch flavors easier (without rewicking)...

I run ceramic, sold as readyXwick. I get 3 to 5 months from a coil and wick combo.
