Cotton processed in a purer process? It's cellulose or basically wood pulp put through a chemical process.

I really liked it the first time I tried it but over the next few days for whatever unknown reason rayon was adversely affecting me. I guess maybe it could have been nic overdose but I vape such low milligram juice I find that hard to be the sole cause. I've never heard of anyone else feeling the way I did and I know lots of people love it and swear by it, I don't doubt that for a second. I realize it sounded like I was trying to discourage rayon, I apologize for that. Rayon definitely wicks better than cotton balls and without any funky cotton taste of a new wick. I guarantee anyone trying rayon for the first time is going to be impressed. I wish it had worked out for me, oh well.

Maybe I have been mistaken,

Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fiber that grows in a boll, or protective capsule, around the seeds of cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the family of Malvaceae. The fiber is almost pure cellulose.

n, a polysaccharide consisting of a linear chain of several hundred to many thousands of β(1→4) linked D-glucose units.[3][4] Cellulose is an important structural component of the primary cell wall of green plants, many forms of algae and the oomycetes. Some species of bacteria secrete it to form biofilms.[5] Cellulose is the most abundant organic polymer on Earth.[6] The cellulose content of cotton fiber is 90%, that of wood is 40–50% and that of dried hemp is approximately 45%

Ok when I first heard about rayon I like many others thought Oh God no that's some kinda plastic! But was enlightened to the fact that cotton is just fibers from some type of plant or tree, rather it be pods of the cotton plant, trees or that other stuff not to be mentioned on this site. I was further told that the rayon process left you with a much cleaner and purer product than even ... Organic cotton. But I am no expert nor do I reside in a Hoilday Inn Express, so I tend to lean on those more learned than myself.
At any rate good luck in you journey towards vape nivarna wicking with whatever works best for you. An hope it doesn't have to be a dirty sock. :)

I get almost all my wire from Amazon. Lightningvapes, Temco and a couple other vendors all sell stuff there. For kanthal, 100' goes for $5-6, Nichrome a dollar or two more. Same thing for wick - either graham's cellucotton rayon, or Japanese cotton pads. The Japanese cotton has long shipping times, though.

In my experience, rayon is slightly superior to Japanese cotton over the long run. I've been running Japanese cotton for a little while, and thinking I'll switch back to rayon. Cleaner flavor with rayon, and the wick lasts longer. With Japanese cotton, I have to rewick a little more often, and there's a slight cottony taste to it, but it's faint.

For wire, I use 26 gauge nichrome the most, every once in a while I may use some 28 gauge or twisted 30 gauge kanthal, and now and then some 24 gauge kanthal. For the Lemo, almost exclusively 26 gauge nichrome. Spaced 3mm 8 wrap coil comes to 0.9-1.0 ohm, and gives killer flavor with high VG juice @ 22-24 watts. For lower vg liquid, contact coils may work, but I'd probably stick with spaced.
