How does it know the atomizer is good or not?

I cleaned it with a pipe cleaner. i use a pipe cleaner to clean all my batterys and get the juice out of them. thats why the battery is well used. It is probably 3 or 4 months old.
I hope someone can tell me how it knows a good atomizer from a bad one.
When I attach a dead atomizer to the battery it will not work at all even taking out the cart and puffing on it will not make it work.
When I attach a good atomizer it will light up on it's on and burn it up if I don't take it off.
I just wondered why it was acting lke this and found it weired that it appeared to know the differance between a dead and a good atomizer.
Since we are talking about battery's..I have two that stick on also only after I take a drag.. ( only when i take a long drag).I of course top off carts..Is it possible to reverse this problem ..Or is it once e-liquid finds it's way to the battery it is all over? Oh , it is so fun to realize that the battery stuck on while driving to work , talk about multi tasking to unscrew a battery as fast as I can... Let's just say I have a tape on the hinky battery system, It's my little red flag " Caution do not use while driving"
I have blowen into the battery and puffed on it without a atomizer and the light does not come on. the only time it works is when I attach a working atomizer to the battery an then it works by it's self. I will not be using the battery as it will burn up my atomizers. I just was wondering if anyone had any idea why that was the only time it worked. It just too weird.
