What he said is so true... but I took into account that DD lives in Utah, which means he can't go riding year 'round like here in CA... and unless he drains the gas tank every time it sits for any prolonged period of time, the fuel injector could get clogged by the old gas.
I had an older car once (without fuel injection) that I had gotten some bad gas in, and if I let it get down past a 1/4 tank, the sludge at the bottom would clog the fuel filter!! It only took a couple of minutes to change, so I always kept one in my glove box... along with a pair of pliers...

LOL!! (and it was cheaper than having the tank drained...)
