No doubt many of us are LONG Term Ex-Smokers and many of us will never get back full functional Lung capacity. Onset COPD may not have even been Diagnosed, damn I hate seeing Doctors, but it can still be there and will not go away.
Adding Asthma to the mix just increases problems by magnitudes.

For us, not doing anything that causes Breathing stress is advisable. This in no way Quantifies what is happening when doing those things.............I am no Doctor, Scientist, and cannot in all honesty make assumptions as to what is happening to cause the worsening.

It's like - is a good analogy. It gives substance to describing a feeling or concern.
It IS - is a False assertion of knowledge that something IS as proved BY XXX and can be misleading.
Example, and one Running Rogue on EFC -
I am Allergic to PG(not me personally) This has become a Norm and a Promotion for the use of High Vg/Max Vg and a typical recommendation by ECF users. It has come to be treated as Gospel, Mostly by a whole group of users that Have never been diagnosed(other than self) and cannot tell a Sensitivity From an Allergy.

Scratchy throat
Bumps, small blisters, small ulcers in the mouth
Dry Mouth
Are not in and of themselves an indication of an Allergy. They are not even a true indication of a Sensitivity in a new ex-smoker as all those conditions can manifest in a Body purging toxins and a person taking on a new experience(vaping)
But here, we have it - Gospel

It is simple, Preach what you know, but know what you Preach...........or at least try.

I agree, and after experiencing the chemical-burn-type irritation that resulted from using 90% PG, I can sympathize with those who are far more sensitive to its effects than I am -- it is NOT AT ALL pleasant! Though I personally need to stay at 85%-87% PG, I have in the past recommended a higher VG percentage to those who experience that kind of irritation and burn from too-high PG. Everyone really has to find what suits THEM, personally; I just thank god that I can tolerate such a high percentage of PG, because if I couldn't, I really wouldn't be able to vape at all -- so I wouldn't have been able to quit smoking, since vaping is the only thing that's ever worked for me.
