My town hardware store does not carry nichrome or kanthal wire. There is one question that i keep asking and that is what else can i use besides these two? no real answers yet, but i can tell you that copper on any gauge or raps simply will not work. i have heard a little bit about using silver wire, gold wire, guitar string wire, and even very thin stainless steel wire. im not attemting to try anymore because i finally found out that this can blow up your battery... And i dont want to do that haha. so if anyone has some experience experimenting with this, please let me know if it will work. also, i am trying ro modify my v pro protank 2. any advice? thank you and your comments are most appriciated!

Copper is one of the best conductors. This is what you do not want to use. You need resistance wire. Just order on line. less than $10 and will be in your mail box in 2-3 days.
I bought some sample packs of nichrome and kanthal wire 3 different gauges and wicking material 3 kinds to test with for about $20 shipped.
