Uhmmmm, Get back to us in about 6 mos. If you are a Bleeding Heart Liberal, then you have found the "Promised Land". If, on the other hand, you are just a plain 'working (provided you have a job) stiff' then you will find that there is a Hell-on-Earth! btw / welcome back to Wisconsin8-oI just moved back to WI after two horrible years in IL, and let me tell you, WI is LUCKY. Things down in IL are terrible. No jobs, the highest sales tax in the country, horrible unemployment and still getting worse even though the "recession is over" according to mass media. As for smoking, the entire state is non-smoking within 15 feet of any doors or windows. Its outrageous! They will really ticket you for it! I love WI and am so happy we moved back.
their was a post a few weeks back where a poster had written a letter to someone in madison, the LT gov or something along those lines about how e cigs will work with the new laws.About Us Ban the Ban Wisconsin
"Our mission is to neither encourage nor discourage smoking; rather, we advocate for the individuals right to choose based on facts and the truth, without government interference, oppressive legislation, special interest pressure or berating harassment from others."

Anyway they wrote back saying that e cigs have nothing to do with the ban.
It turns out I read it but did not post on it so I can't find it, does anyone know if its possible to search the board?
I believe that this newly enacted law will go a long way toward protecting the public - and better educating our children - about the consequences of tobacco use, and I was pleased to see it signed into law.
Not that I plan to derail this thread, but this is of interest to all Wisconsinites in the south-central part of the state.
Wanna meet other vapers? I'm holding a meeting of the Wisconsin Vapers on November 14th, at 3pm in the Waukesha area. If you are interested in more details, please feel free to shoot me a PM.

Have you been in contact with Ban the Ban Wisconsin? Link in the OP.
They might be willing to make the trip and what better way to introduce them to the ecig than to hang out with some vapers. You never know!
It's a good idea, Lacey, but right now, it's all I can do to simply organize the folk here for a social thing.....I'm in the process of moving...
It's something we can certainly discuss when we meet, about contacting Ban the Ban, and working with them on some education stratagies.

THAT and the fact that the Journal-Sentinel has been losing readers steadily for years as most newspapers have. There are numerous reasons for this including that 'some' of us actually want News NOT (political) slants and we would prefer FACTS and total uncensored, if you will, coverage of local, national and world events. Alas, that is why many of us are 'forced' to listen to talk radio to find out what is really happening around usAs bad as the economy is they will accept advertising from ANYONE.
