Just keep busy and whatever you do, don't even try and have just one cigarette or I will personally come down there and smack you over the head with an eGo.

Ha ha ha, you could just PM me and I would gladly do the deed for you. Would save you the trip from Sarnia and I think I would get much pleasure out of it...tee hee hee (just kidding)

I just did a marathon phone call with Katz and we were talking about health a bit. Part of why I wanted to quit vaping is about how I am feeling physically.

I notice in the mornings, when I first start vaping, I feel a twang painy feeling in throat but mostly my chest. After a few pulls on the pv the feeling seems to go away. But what is troubling is my shortness of breath. My voice itself is much stronger, no denying. But I have had to stop using any flavourings in my vapes, as some actually made me wheeze. Hell I've even developed an allergy to my pit stick (and I am not allergic to anything). Well it turns out, Katz and Sparky both seem to be showing similar shortness of breath issues.

Today is my last day of vaping. I don't want to scare anyone. Nobody seems to talk about these symptoms much on here but today I find 3 of us are experiencing the same type of thing. I still believe these e cigs are god sent miracle sticks, but I also have to wonder why after 6 months this shortness of breath seems to be worse now. I've always been in decent shape. Even 2 yrs ago, I was walking/running 120 flights of stairs a night doing security patrols downtown, as a smoker. Now I feel winded doing 1 chin up LOL

I to have experinced shortness of breath, a little now and then while im working. i do feel as though i can breath deeper but the random days of shortness of breath scares me a bit, i love my pv and cant think of ever giving it up. IM going to try not inhailing all the time

I almost want to grab a smoke from Dave cuz hey I think I'd like it too LOL
Just say bad boy lots ok?

I think vg affected me. and I spent a day doing something I always had a smoke hanging out of my mouth before. survived. I think if you beat all your triggers at least once it makes the cravings go away faster. feeling really good today. I am gaining weight though haha

It's a good thing that you picked up the vape instead of a cigarette. I think what you are missing most is the need to be doing something. When I quit smoking, over three years ago, I gained more than 50 pounds over those 3 years and it was because of the habit of needing to do something with my hands. I have plenty of hobbies and work to keep me busy, but something was always missing. The same is probably happening to you pipeous.

Then I took up vaping a few months ago and I am beginning to lose weight and the feeling of needing to do something is gone and I can now concentrate on other things to keep me busy. The nicotine habit it easy to break, it is the other part of smoking that is almost impossible to break.

I know what you are going through and it is hard.

I have had the same issue as I'm sure many of us have. Nicotine has many effects and one of them is quelling hunger, so I can't stop eating when I am on the road to quitting either.

I am on my way to joining you on the "Nic-Free" side of life as well, I am getting very worried about how heavy my chest can feel after a vape. It's like I am struggling to breathe a proper breath sometimes, so I vape around a half hour before bed and about a half hour or so after I wake up now.

Nicotine causes paralysis of bronchial tubes, this I am aware of, but to feel almost breathless after having a vape is indeed an uncomfortable feeling to say the least. Anyone else notice this kind of heaviness? I notice it is worst when I vape and lay down immediately :S

What strength mg and VG/PG mix are you guys using to cause this shortness of breath? In my 2+ months of vaping I have yet to experience that kind of sympton, just the occasional headache from vaping for 5 continuous hours..

Well I was vaping at 24 mg, but am back down to 18 mg and climbing down slowly. I vape at 50/50 PG/VG because I find that mix to be perfect for my needs as a vaper. The shortness of breath is something that's still new to me (and I have been vaping for 2 years give or take) I noticed it a little before but it is getting more and more uncomfortable as time ticks

Nicotine is a known appetite suppressor.

I am trying to find a happy medium. I am vaping a little while at work or I just eat. I also found a dumbell there last night so I spent a lot of time working out with it. that helped. not much vaping, just a bit around middle of the shift. I'll beat this thing still but trying to balance out. I've cut out the vg and haven't been noticing any shortness of breath for days now. I put about 2ml in the rev2 3 days ago and it still has lots left, so I have cut down from 3-4ml a day. and my hunger has slowed down to a maneageable level. seriously. I've always been skinny, and I was wearing size 40 pants the other night!! I should be like 32-34.

when ya can't see to pee, you gotta worry about it hehe

Pipeous, I use mostly 80/20, and haven't had a problem. All VG is just too "heavy" for me, I have COPD. Ya might just want to hold on to your vaping supplies, JUST in case that urge comes to you.... at least for the next year. As much as many of us would love to add your equipment/juices to our supplies, I do believe we'd rather see you not go thru a set back to analogs even more!!!!!

well I am vaping. I have really been pushing the excersise though. once I cut out the vg (or maybe it was the GH1 nic base or one of the vg or pg no nic mixers I dunno) but the shortness of breath has gone. I have added situps now and doing 2 reps of 50 situps a day now plus the weight work out. the vaping has helped me control the eating again, and the excersise has helped tons.

I'll get back to quitting. I am vaping less than I was before so that's good. but I am running out of vapable juice so broke down and ordered more. I'll try mixing some straight pg juice with my base and see if that was it, but to be safe I just ordered a couple 30ml bottles from phatclouds.

To think not long ago I was all depressed as hell. I got really sick, which brought me to vaping. business was slowing down due to our economy and the weather. I had made a lot of money last year but was getting sick of the situation. I bought my motorcycle and 2 days later lost my contract. tbh I was more relieved. I took time off, got some perspective.

today I applied for a car loan. I have had credit trouble in the past... bankruptcy. today though I am proud to say, I am the owner of a 2007 pt cruiser!! I have always wanted one. and it's almost new. hell still under warranty. I got a killer deal. you guys have to understand, when I started my business it was on a shoe string budget and I had a crap vehicle, no money, had lost everything before. I didn't start getting above water until 2 years ago. things went well then crashed. I finally found a good company a month and a half ago.

oh hell man, I have to wait until tomorrow to pick it up though. can't wait

SWEET ride!!!!! Congratz on getting a beauty of a car. I always loved the PT cruisers - somehow this is the only fairly newer model of car that makes me want a second glance(I mean within the last 10 to 15 years). To be honest most newer model vehicles look so cookie cutter boring like there was no imagination behind the design. PT cruisers reminds me of ZZ top cars which is a damn cool group.

Anyway, like everyone is saying - don't feel bad for not dropping vaping yet. Its still way better than analogs. I think I may not agree with GH1's nic base either. Not to say there is something bad with their supply, but when I vape my DIY stuff that has their vg based nic juice I find I get a mildy scratchy throat. It doesn't happen when I use my beloved BWB juice though and the one I vape is 70/30 vg/pg.

Thanks guys. I agree too. I think zz top or 34-38 panel van. there's a custom shop in new west does some cool stuff to these. this is just the beginning. I am jonesing. I have to sell my minivan so am cleaning it out. got it emptied and vac'd out. still have to wipe it out, wash the outside. I finally put all the seats in it. been in my garage for a year and only used the bench once haha. I'd rather sell it cheap to someone that can use it than to give it away on a trade in. considering what a cash offer knocked off, I'd have never gotten much in reality for the van.

I just don't need the van anymore. if I feel like detailing on my days off then people can bring their vehicle here. hey I don't NEED the work now ;) but people need me to fix botch jobs often, especially black... speaking of, I could have gotten a better deal on a black one but I don't do black cars for myself. my bmw was black (old 528e, tranny finally gave up at 545,000 miles, not km's). too much work. most of my guitars are black, I love black, but not cars. lazy people should buy silver vehicles... ok I am rambling because I have to go back out there and do more cleaning.

this had to be one of my fav details 427_Cobra pictures by Pipeous - Photobucket
this is my fav shot. so smooth it looks like water

Lets see, Where to start.

Congrats on the car. That one looks very nice. My sister has a PT and loves it. She put a ton of miles on it over the years so she uses it as her weekend run about now.

I am glad you are vaping and not smoking. Also glad the shortness of breath has resolved itself. Hope you find the cause.

As for the exercise, You will find you can do more now that you are not smoking. I can do a solid hr on the exercise bike. My legs give out before anything else. No huffing and puffing at the 20 min mark like I used to.

Turns out tonight it was just the drummer and I so I stayed home, emptied out and cleaned the van up. Then I went and found a pt cruiser forum and looked through add ons. I found me some cool parts oh boy. it's like building one of my 5th scales and funny enough the parts are about the same cost LOL.

I admit vaping is an appetite suppresant. it's helping. oh well. I ordered some stuff from phatclouds.ca today to be safe. I have some banana frost and some mixed ry4/dumay to tide me over. the juicy peach tasted like crap in a standard carto. it tasted so good in the 510t. dam gave that away. I could try dripping it I guess. I just hate dripping. orders within canada are so fast though so I'll have some ice cap and creamy tobacco to share with my vaping friends at whatever meet we do this weekend. I was going to go away on the bike but the jam got rescheduled to next fri and we are doing the vape meet saturday. I'll bring you cartos over when they arrive Kat.

ok going to ask your opinions. I was looking at car bling. so much stuff. here's the back of the pt stock
