Today marks the day I ween myself off nicotine so I can give up vaping. I am jumping right into this. My boge rev v2 has no nic, 50/50 pg/vg mix. I am taking an ego t lr with nic to work in case I totally lose it and need a vape or 2. the goal is to just stop vaping by the end of the weekend.

I originally did this to quit smoking and said then I don't want to vape forever. It's become so easy. I am doing this to be able to sing again. I've really started working hard as of late on building my endurance up and have noticed that first vapes of the day I still get an odd wheezy feeling.

for me to be able to sing in the upper end, I really have to work hard at it, especially after all the years of damage I have done to myself with smoking, the chemicals I used detailing etc. and I want to start working out. I remember to sing stuff like Journey, when I was 20 even, I had to do sit ups daily, jog and stuff to build up my oomph. Now I grunt getting in and out of my van LOL

Good luck to you sir, I plan on going down the same road eventually and have already begun weening down from 24mg to 18mg.

Have you read the thread about how black pepper can mimic the throat hit from nicotine juice? I imagine it would certainly be helpful those first few days when simply puffing clouds of vapor doesn't quite cut it.

black pepper or vodka. I considered vodka but I'm going to just try this. I am using the same carto that I used for nic so it will dilute itself out as the day goes. I honestly don't think the withdrawals will be anywhere near what I went through to quit the analogs.

and as a celebration, I am going to package all my juice, pv's and such up for the vape cruise and put it in the draw for some lucky vaper. still have 3 bottles of 100mg nic juice in the freezer

Wow that is amazing Pipeous! You will do great!! You have come along way since the analog days, and this will be a walk in the park for ya. For me, I wanted to touch base on the withdrawl I experience as a vaper compared to nic fits with analogs. I do get the exact type of withdrawl from lack of vaping, and I do find myself craving analogs when this happens. For me, my vaping experience has become a hobby as well, but I do need my nic fix still. I don't think that will ever go away, and I don't know if I want it to. I do enjoy it immensley, and without vaping, I would surely be smoking analogs. But that is just me. You really have some awesome strength and willpower Pipeous to be doing this, and I am not going to wish you luck, because I do know you will kick the habit of nicotine. You are a strong guy! I would love to hear you sing someday too! I am a HUGE Journey fan too! Love the old 70s-80s rock. And, you are such a generous person, thinking of others donating your juice! Wow 3 bottles of nic in your freezer! You really stocked up for emergencies didn't ya!! PROUD OF YOU PIPEOUS!

I wish you all the best in achieving your goal. Having met you at the vapemeet downtown, the vibe I got from you immediately was that not only are you a nice guy, but also that you have the smarts to do whatever you set your mind to. So you will succeed. And if not then yay for us vapers on the west coast - we'll still get to see you at the next vapemeet!

But seriously, all the best to you!

Wish you all the best my man and hope to see ya on the other side. You are right the withdrawal shouldn't be as bad as analogs. When I went through lazer therapy a couple of years ago I was recommended 10 chewable vitamin Cs a day for 10 days along with plenty of water. The Vitamin C acts like a sponge. That is my plan for February 2012 which is my target.

Once again all the best :)

I made it through most of the night working with no nic. no flavour either though lol. I took about 4 puffs off the ego t near the middle of the shift. more because I can get some hit from the nic in that one. but I really don't feel much of anything really. I also look at this belly getting bigger and know I need to do something about that as well. I grabbed the chin up bar in here yesterday before going to work. that was a rather embarassing display let me tell you. glad the garage has no windows.

I get tonight off work then back for 6 straight (trade off for the vape meet in august). I'll still come to vape meets, why not. met some cool like minded people. I think vaping has saved me many years of life. I am sending out some emails to audition for some bands. I have a karaoke player on my netbook with near 10,000 songs now. I get a good 2-3 hrs a shift of practice now.. and going out of the comfort zone. even got some dean martin (hey one of the first artists I tried to emulate when young).

Thanks to everyone here. So many have helped me get to this point. This forum and my friends met, virtual and in person, really has made the difference. If I offended anyone, I am sorry.... probably just puffed one and said something stupid not knowing any better haha
cheers
