Over the years, hubby would mention the new eCig he saw and at least once a year he would ask me if I'd be interested in trying it. I, of course, would laugh at the thought. (mainly to stave off more failures. Big Pharma taught me how to laugh, that's one thing I can say for them).
Then one year a few years ago, he asked me again. He said he saw it at the truck stop on a video, and really thinks I'd like it. This time I said "let me investigate them" first. Naturally, I headed straight to youtube.... and through reviews I discovered eCig forums became inspired by those who walked in my shoes ,... and I recieved my first kit (the new at the time eGO kit from Janty!!!) I can still remember watching youtube videos and practicing right along with them.... yep, I'd "vape" my cigarette, to get used to the new to me way of dragging on it so that I wouldn't be disappointed when it arrived. (lol, it wasn't needed afterall, but it was fun).
I've been hooked on vaping eversince. And now I drool over mods and wish I could make mods and so forth.
My point, is that sometimes even Swine turn into pearls. It just takes time and the right kiss at the right time from our muse.

With that said, and with Christmas coming up in a few short months, how about you start shopping for a mod for YOU and call him over to check out the Granite or Marble or Burl woodvilles by Reo and swoon over them. (you said he's into wood). Then find the VVreo thread, and share a delight that Rob and Buzz have joined forces and are going to produce the VvReo and you'd love one for Christmas but wuold never be able to decide on the type of wood or stain....

If he's into electronics at all (like big screen tvs or fancy stereos), then entice him with the Provari threads and videos, and then the Darwin and then get a rapport going about the differences between them.

If he doesn't bite now, he probably will later after he sees it sitting on the table, ready to fire up, while you're busy in the other room.

Sorry for rambling... I still need more coffee

You might try to find your husband a good juice close to what he smokes with analogs, that has a high nicotine level, so when he does vape it will be more satistfying than an analog. We are really new to vaping. My husband and I bought the starter kits and just quit. He says I don't snore as much (I have a lot of sinus issues too) but that says something. He has sleep apnea and sleeps on a machine but I think he is breathing better and sleeping better. I know what I like in a vape and what he likes are really different. He likes Key Lime Pie and Pepsi. I like very strong coffee flavors. We used to RYO due to cost so vaping for us is more expensive, once we find several juices we like we will be DIY people (my best friend is a chemist so we will have fun with this).

We switched because I tried one of those crappy disposables from 7-11. I had to do a BPO 3 counties over (I'm a Realtor) and I forgot my smokes at home but realized I had that disposable in the car. I chain smoked that thing over and back and decided if I could quit analogs with something like this ...so I told hubby and he said okay and it went from there.

It is really hard when one person quits and the other doesn't, we have done this before, he quit, I didn't. I quit he didn't. Eventually we both would end up smoking again. The only time I ever really quit smoking was when I was pregnant because it made ill, but because DH never quit. I would pick it back up again.

Here is the one thing I do know, you never make someone do something they don't want to do. It has to be because he wants to, not because you want him to quit analogs. It's tough I know but it is the truth.

Hope that helps some, you just keep doing what you are doing...the rest will fall into place.

Wow, I really appreciate all the great comments. It helps me look at the situation from a different perspective. I know just how stubborn I've been over the years when people would make negative comments about my smoking. It really had to be my own idea. I just thank goodness for ecigs. I think I'll wait for the right moment to open up for my husband. Problem is, his dad quit smoking analogs when he was 90 years old. And his grandma died with a Lucky Strike in her hand at 89. He just might be one of those people who can smoke without it affecting his health. Geesh.
