I wanted to say hi :)
I stumbled onto this thread before the Christmas holiday and you rekindled my diy spirit. I'm also following the recipe thread and hope to learn a few things from your adventures.
I've placed a couple of orders with WL and have been very happy with my experiences so far.
I usually vape tobacco type juices and I'm very interested in playing with the brown sugar and/or molasses with a few of the tobacco flavorings.
Just wanted to send a wave and say thank you!

Caramel Cappuccino is super strong.. like 0.5% or 1%. Brown Sugar is 1% or 2%. I like Brown Sugar with tobacco flavorings.

The question was, what atties do you guys use?

If rebuildable what wick material are you running with?

I'm using a couple vivi mini novas with cotton rounds wick and 33 AWG kanthal.
My other atty I use is a DID clone (genesis style) also running 33 AWG kanthal with stainless steel mesh wick at the moment (thinner gauge rw gives quicker heat response). I switch my DID clone between cotton and ss mesh depending on what I feel like running.

I use an ihybrid with usually 400 stainless mesh for the wick. I have also used 625, and I just ordered some 500. A cheap way to get into genesis attys is the AGA-T, which works really well.

I wanted to mix up a larger batch of double ry4 but didn't have any larger bottles. So I used a glass cigar tube I had laying around, looks pretty cool. Also made a styrofoam holder it fits snug into so it stands upward.

Also when it comes to seed steeping, I only added several drops of already 4 week steeped double ry4 (to a 40ml batch). Freshly mixed it's clear, it's only been 24 hours and it's already yellow.

Absolutely love the Double Ry4 mixed at 10%. I didn't vape it very often because I didn't let it steep long enough before. Now it's one of my favorites.

Also I love how clean it vapes, been going on over 2 weeks on the same wick. No smoky or sludgey taste, tastes as fresh as it did with a new wick. Some of my darker juice recipes can sludge up a wick within a few days.

I just mixed up some TFA Pineapple at 15%, tasted a little dry so I added 5% EM and this stuff is great!

Very authentic flavor, not quite a "fresh" pineapple flavor, but rather how pineapple tastes after it's been sitting around cut for a day or so and starts to ferment slightly, a much more robust and desirable taste in IMHO.

Also mixes up with a cloudiness that I found my pear juice does as well.

I recommend it to all fruit-juice-lovers.

On my last order, I ordered some WL Coffee flavor concentrate(TFA). I guess it smells like coffee, but I can't get it to taste like coffee so far. I have tried it at 3% and at 6% and it doesn't taste like coffee. Any suggestions?

I love my coffee strong and bold. But with that said, I haven't yet made a good coffee juice as a standalone flavor. But I love my Cafe Mocha juice. I used 5% TFA Coffee, 3% TFA Mocha, 3% Bavarian Cream, & 5% TFA Ethyl Maltol. I didn't really give it time to steep, just shook it up really good, gave it a 30-minute warm water bath & then vaped it. I have noted that it tastes even better now, about 2 weeks after I made it.

So I suspect that some steeping time is probably required for the coffee flavor.

I love both the pineapple & the pear flavors!

But I mix the pineapple at 5%; otherwise, I'd cough my head off from the acidity (speaking from experience). I add 5% EM to all my fruit flavors. It really helps bring out the flavor IMO.

Yeah, I like strong flavor...I didn't add any EM to the pear so I will for sure next time!

Are yours both lightly cloudy when mixing as well? I make my juices 20/80 (w/ 10% DW).

What part of CO do you live in? I used to live in Alma and Fairplay...way up in the mountains.

I agree DRY4 is awesome with some drops of AP its off the hook. I need to order a bigger bottle of this stuff now. Just mixed up 60 ml of this !

I really like Black Honey Tobacco with a little Honeysuckle added. I've given a little Virginia Fire Cured to the recipe to give a heartier tobacco flavor, but it's a dry tobacco and I prefer sweeter, smoother tobacco flavored vapor.

Since WL only sells the small quantities of TFA flavors, I've taken my bulk-flavoring purchases to onestopDIYshop.

I'm struggling a little with the BHT. It really seems to add a Rose flavor. It seems to me that using this flavor will definitely be mood dependent....:p

Ap gives it a popcorn type taste to it and used in small amounts can almost give it a bread like taste. It all depends on how much you use but you still use very little. for popcorn type taste I would do 5 drops per 30 ml. For bread like flavor I do 2 drops per 30 ml. Though using too much will kill all the flavoring in the mix so use very sparingly.
