On the edge of insanity..
Well that's not even the reason I guess. Just called them to see if they had an estimste of when they would be up and running for nic liquid. She mentioned the new year. So I asked her how thst effects them if they make their own. Her short answer was they get their nic liquid from china. Also went onto say, any company that says otherwise should be questioned. So I found that interesting as I had thought they made their own.

Maybe this statement from WL is where you got the idea from?

"Wizard Labs is a family owned and operated business based in South Florida, USA. Our goal is to support research and development with labware and supplies in a manner and at a price that encourages growth among small businesses and independent researchers within the trade and community. Our lab facility is registered with the FDA and follows best management practices and guidlines to assure product quality, purity, and reliability."

I would have thought the same as well, because how else can they assure quality and purity if they don't extract their own?

I just ordered a small amount to get me started from RTS, but was waiting to get my larger order from WL once they got back up and running. Looks like I might be changing my mind on who I order from? Even though I buy most of my gear from China, I don't think that I would like to buy my diy nic from them. Of course, all the pre-made nic that I have been vaping for the past year since I started has most assuredly come from China.

Just tried to go to the RTS site, but they are down due to high order volume. A quick search on Google pulled this though from their site.

Liquid Nicotine
THIS WEBSITE DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE
With our unemployment rate near 10% in North Carolina we decided to try a United States solution to inconsistent Chinese nicotine liquid. The tobacco leafs are ...

While I cannot continue reading due to the site being down, it would lead me to believe that they get it from somewhere in the USA? Or at least not from China..

I'm kinda running low myself but I have faith in them coming back strong. Never had a problem with any of my orders from them.

I have bought from Vapingzone, RTS, and the Wiz. Though the Wiz order was delayed (ordered right when they re-opened this month), I like them slightly ahead of VZ, and both well ahead of RTS. Not so much a pricing issue, as each has their own deal, but on a responsiveness and sense of commitment to the vaping community. :2c:

I've been a customer of Wizard for about a year and I had NO IDEA they were using nicotine from China. I will not be doing business with them again, so this temporary shutdown has been a blessing in disguise.

I lost a dog due to chicken jerky treats made in China. I personally got sick from eating Catfish imported from China (who knew?). I will not put anything in my body that comes from China and I'm pretty ...... Wizard does not label their nicotine juice as being from China. That explains the great price.

And I could care less if something imported from China is "FDA approved". It means NOTHING. Case in point, the catfish...After I got sick I did some research and found out that the catfish from China was originally banned because it tested positive for all kinds of nasty stuff. But later the ban was lifted because China started making threats (you ban catfish and we ban something of yours). So China won and now they get to sell their nasty, chemical laden, antibiotic filled fish here in America. Google it, you'll be shocked at what they get away with. I'll stick with the Nicotine juice made in the USA. It might be a few dollars more but in the long run, I'm guessing it's cheaper.

I'm beyond mad about this.

Here & There
Lets see, employs people in N. Carolina, goes to a lab in PA. Has nic in stock thats MADE IN THE USA. Nope, no commitment to the vaping community.

If you read the entire thread of the vendor being talked about you might understand what the poster meant. We who have followed him since the opening have seen more than those of you new to this.

If a vendor who is friendly, honest, patient and goes the extra mile and handles all issues from everything I have ever read and sells a product that everyone including our local chemist is pleased with at a great price without the necessity of a sale is important to you-- go to Wizard Labs. If you want a vendor who sells nicotine that is the only one on this forum stated to be made in the USA (don't know about the source of PG VG or other chemicals involved) for quite a bit more after your initial purchase go to RTS. No matter where you buy in the coming months there will be continued hysterical buying and delays and probably price increases.

Meanwhile, for those of us who actually prefer WL both for the customer service and nature of the owner and the product, we really don't like to see vendor bashing going on. Saying you prefer one to the other for whatever reason is different than bashing the vendor. If you have any questions about Wizard labs nic or practices John is always available to chat and has talked to many of us on the telephone at great length---not something alot of vendors care to do. He has never bitten a customer's head off either which is another plus in my book.

I second everything shilo said.^^^

Wizardlabs gets his ice nic from india. It is some of the best quality nicotine around.
If you don't want to buy from him then go pay double for the same, or lesser quality nic at one of the other vendors. We will be happy that there is 1 less person making our beloved johns nic go out of stock. ;)

I personally have never had any problems with his nicotine.

Just because something is made in the USA does not make it safe or higher quality. Or better than something Chinese made for that matter. If you prefer to buy USA made and have had problems with other Chinese products in the past and refuse to buy them, that's fine. Its your decision and right as a consumer.

I encourage you to go to other vendors. Not because I don't trust wizardlabs nic quality, but because I want it all to myself!! MAUAHAHAHHAHAHAH

Furthermore, if you have never tried his product, then you have on right to bash him, regardless of where he sources his nic from.

Twilight Zone
I'm one of those who got his head bitten off while trying to make my initial purchase and I'm really glad that happened now. I'd quit vaping before I'd do business with any vendor with that kind of attitude regardless of how good anyone thinks their product is or where it's made. I won't be a subject or fan to any vendor. At this point none of them need my business as none can keep up with the volume they're getting. The ones who appreciate the business now and treat everyone like customers are the ones that will continue to do well if that turns around in the future. I've gotten top quality product and service as well as outstanding customer relations from Wizzard and until someone can prove they're product is inferior they will remain my only diy source regardless of the point of origin. We all use hundreds of Chinese products daily with only a few people even being concious of it, including most of the devices, cartos, etc. we put our liquids in. If putting foriegn made flavors in American made liquid shipped in containers of unknown origin and pouring it into Chinese attys tanks and cartos makes you feel better by all means go for it. I'm as concerned about what may be in the carto fillers and products used to produce and install the coils as I am the liquids themselves. Ever get a new atty with a foul smelling/tasting primer?

YES, Shilo, I read far more than my post count shows. Thats the turn-off now for me. I see "bashing" of RTS. I see "wild" claims made on price that are not true, and when shown there not true, they call names and run. I have had good service and product from both Wizard and RTSVAPES, in the 3 orders i have had from each. All the fanboys for Wizard is having the opposite effect, maybe for the best.
Our local chemist, if you mean Kurt, prefers RTS nic for unflavored vaping

I'm not trying to be a fan girl of WL but I don't think that people are keeping their facts straight about some of the labs including WL. It's fine if you want to buy from RTS. That is great. If that is your go to store then go there. I am happy for you.

Perhaps you should start an I love RTS thread.

I went back and read the posts in this thread and I don't actually see a ravenous love for WL since many people recommended other vendors.

I don't see RTS bashing either. A couple of people said they had preferences for other companies based on customer service.

Yes, why don't we start a thread :toast:
The OP asked, in the Wizard Labs IS Down thread and look at the responce, very sad.

If you think something on another thread is going wrong, that thread would be the appropriate place to address your issues IMHO

Or, we could all move on with our lives and a, hopefully, rational discussion could be made on a new thread about "What country is the nicotine you use coming from?"

This thread is drifting off course at this point. My personal opinion.

I haven't had bad experiences with any particular vendor yet. WL, had no issues with them. RTS I don't believe I've ordered from. I think I was trying to get a tank from them but they're always sold out. (Texas Tuff site) Not sure if it's the one or not since their site is down. I think regardless of the company, someone is bound to have good and bad experiences. Seems like customer service these days are very rare.

Hi Renolizzie, There are already a number and some are very heated. If it could have been shown otherwise, that is NOT MADE IN THE USA, it would have been in this thread, I believe. Its rather long and doesn't get to the good stuff right away and goes down hill at times but .......and Im talking about RTS nic.
