Just scored my first Reo off the classies! A well used mini with quite a few miles on it. Been planning on a grand, but I couldn't pass up this one...it looks like it was truly loved and the price was right. It'll make a nice backup when I order my grand next month.

Not t worry you'll see Grands popping up in the classy a lot.

Thanks for the welcome. I figured it'd be just fine, Karen... I've actually been looking for a beat up reo for that reason. Thinking about putting it through the dishwasher.

Just don't use any dishwasher detergent! You can clean it just as well by soaking it in hot water. Take off the bottle and use a syringe to shoot water through the tubing. Alcohol does a good job too.

If needed you can buy parts from Robert. A new tubing and cap and a extra spring are good to have.

I love my tiny Mini's! They hit just as well as the Grand, just have to replace the battery more often. I use mine for short trips out.

You shouldn't unless you want to change the finish... Now I'm having trouble finding the thread. The pics looked pretty neat. When I originally saw it, I figured an old, beat up Reo would be perfect for trying it.

One tip for you. You can sand the edges and remove some of the dings. On black it will leave you with a silver polished edge that looks great!

I like the way that looks. How do you keep thr edges of the sanding straight and even. What grit is good to use. Any tips would be appreciated. My Grand could use a new makeover.

I did not do the REO in that pic. My daughter did her's though. She said it was challenging to make the lines straight. You really need to tape off the portion you want to do first. I am not sure what grit of paper she used. Something very fine!

Thanks Karen. I wonder if masking tape would work. Perhaps cardboard taped on might be better. Something to think about though..thanks.
