Big Screen D, Thank you for bringing the tight o-ring problem to my attention
I drilled out a piece of redwood for your drip tip that will hopefully match your mod. When I get it finished I will send you pictures.

Sweet! Now I won't have to listen to the missus telling me how "hers has the pretty drip tip"

Anyone out there thinking about ordering a LG wood, and debating whether or not to spring for the drip tip. Don't. Don't as in don't think about it, just do it even if you have to skip some meals or something. Pictures just don't do justice to how nice they are.

Just want to add how impressed I was to get a PM from you asking how the wife liked her gift. I've caught hell in the past buying gifts for her that takes batteries or is plugged in. Not this time. She loves it!

as soon as I get it I'll try to adjust to real world if I can, reds are fairly easy to correct..
that said Lewis's photos are not that far off, just a tad in the red area. It's the camera for sure.

I think it is my lighting. I shoot them on a piece of melamine with a clear bulb up close and florescent overhead. I really need to make a photo booth with black tile for the base

I went to Rockler and picked up a 1/16" wide parting tool. Hopefully this will work perfectly for making the o-ring grooves. I also picked up some acrylic 1.5 x 6 blanks. These will not be finished with CA and may be more durable than the stabilized wood without any CA.

Not exact pieces but close.

After searching google and call blank forums for a few hours I finally found the size acrylic blanks I need with a good selection and price.

It's been working great so far, but to be honest it's the first tank/carto setup I've used so I've nothing to compare it to functionally. Filling it is interesting when you can't see how much juice is in the tank until it gets near the top, but I believe I've worked out a good method for that. Now I just need to load up on some replacement cartos and o-rings so it's always in operational order.

I think the only thing that would make your mods better is if you knew someone who worked with tempered glass or ceramics that could replace all the metal parts. Now THAT would be an extremely hot mod!

Very, very cool looking Buglen. Makes me want a tank even though I don't use cartos or tanks lol.

I'm not much of a carto person either, but then I've only really tried the EDMCC and pre-filled cartos that have come with kits. However, I'm getting used to the flavor from this carto/tank setup with my favorite juice (Dragon's Blood), and it's breaking in real nice. I can't tell if the flavor is getting better, or if I'm just getting used to the flavor from the carto and it's tasting better to me.

I was hoping that you would eventually be making PVs of this stuff. The colors can be fantastical in it! I have seen pens and such made of acrylic and they are quite lovely.
