I am still having trouble getting the color in the pictures correct. On the display of my camera and my wife's lap top the colors in the pictures below are correct(black, brown and tan). On my old 1990's box style monitor the pictures below show up as black and green. On Muldemar's flat screen monitor it also shows up green.

Hopefully everyone can help me out with the colors.
What colors does everyone see in the pictures below and what monitor are you using.

Dark green, light green, gold with flecks of black. I'm using a Benq monitor.

I have the same problem photographing purple. It's really hard to get the color right.

Try underexposing your shots and see if that helps.
Thanks
I can try underexposing it a litle bit more, but if I do it to much the picture gets really dark. Hopefully others will post what they see as well then I can try to adjust to that. So far it is sounding like I adjusted the camera to the wrong monitor :)

I have a question.. Sorry for sounding like a complete newb but I am... Do these wood mods just slip over the battery? And if im using a clearomizer does it just fit over that? Im a little confused? Thanks peeps ;-)
No problem at all jeniferc
The wood or acrylic is glued to the battery tube and then turned on a lathe. The wood/acrylic is not removable from the tube. The cone can drilled out to any diameter you like to fit your clearomizer. Normally I drill out the cones to 7/16 of a inch which will fit cartos up to the diameter of a fluxomizer. Depending on your clearomizer I may need to make the hole a larger diameter.

Everybody's monitor is going to show colors differently. The best you can hope for is a happy middle ground.

A happy middle ground would be great. I just worry that a customer will see the picture and like the colors. Then when they receive their mod the color is way different and they don't like it. I know if I was that customer I would not be happy. Being red/green color blind makes taking accurate pictures difficult to say the least.

First I would like to thank Muldemar for bringing the color issue to my attention and tmcase for the advice to correct the problem and testing.

A group shot of the latest tips I turned.

My newest design. A comfort tip with a captured ring. I believe these are the first tips with a captured ring. This design is based from the captured rings on goblets. #2 and #4 are made from a Genesis blank, I believe this is the first time a tip has been made from this material.

Seven of Kevin's tips. #1, #3 and #5 are made from Wonder Wood - Earth, I believe this is the first time a tip has been made from this material. Thanks Kevin for finding this material.

#3 is possibly the first tip made from deer antler. The other two are made from Glow Stonez.

These tips are made from the remaining blanks of Tru-Stone that Kevin sent me. I wanted to see how far I could push the Tru-stone. The disk on the red tip is extremely thin and fragile.

Thanks txtumbleweed :)

Using RTV to hold the Provari circuit board failed. The RTV flexed too much allowing the board to move. Jojobo's Provari stopped working after about a week. I assume this because the board is no longer aligned properly.
Kevin traded me his Provari. Thanks again Kevin for offering it to me before posting it on the classifieds. When I received it the RTV was allowing much more movement in the board compared to when it was originally applied. I could feel and see the board move when I pushed the button.
Today I went down to the hardware store and bought a few o-rings. I made one cut in a 7/8 OD, 5/8 ID, 1/8 width o-ring so the wires could slide threw, placed the o-ring on top of the board and pressed on the cap. So far the board feels very solid and all movement has stopped.
Jojobo is sending her Provari back to me. I will test the o-ring on my Provari for a few days. If the o-ring continues to working good I will install a o-ring in Jojobo's Provari and send it back to her for more testing.

If you look at post #650 you'll see a drip tip #DT-024. Lewis wrote "It's a surprise". Well it sure was when it showed up in my mailbox. :D

A total surprise and he couldn't have chosen a more perfect color. Blue is my favorite color and this drip tip matches my cobalt custom Phiniac tank perfectly. Check it out.

That's my Aquarius (tight buns) sign. :p

Thank you so much Lewis. I love it. Even though you explained how you did the ring I still can't imagine how you did that. It's gorgeous.
