I think I found my problem. I don't think I've ever seen this problem before. Truely unique I think. I popped a spring on my Woodvil. What was unusual about that was that nothing had changed and I had been using the same coil for 3 weeks and I never took the RM2 off the Grand. When the spring popped I checked my coil with a multimeter and it was fine. Had no idea why the spring popped.
So I installed a new spring and built a new coil. It vaped great for about two hours then the spring popped again. Couldnt figure it out! So today I installed another coil and spring , tweaked the positive contact of the RM2 a 1/4 turn. It was once again vaping well but the taste was getting mad funky. So I pulled my cotton wick out and was rolling a new wick when I spied something sitting on the ceramic base. I pulled it out and this is what I found.
A small piece of foil had found its way in. I tested it for electrical conductivity and one side was conductive and the other side was not. Apparently it would move around inside the RM2 and when it contacted the coil and side wall of the RM2 it would short it.
PS. The dime was not inside the atomizer and it not included in foil orders to the saboteurs.
