Word games to up post count.

Now, now, lets not knock the games. I don't normally play them but when I was down with the flu and out of PC games I could deal with I did join in on some of them... word ones mostly. I tend to shyness so don't join in social groups but those games kept me going when I couldn't sleep anymore. Games also help regular players get to know each other and the forum seems a bit more homey that way. Not everyone who plays is after post count in fact I never even thought of it when I played for a while.

There just isn't a way to selectively have a thread not give post counts, it has to be done by the forum or the sub forum in it's entirety.

adding : ...just like there isn't a way to not have a post register when it is only a picture.

It's nice to see a thread like this. Despite the occassional member complaining about rules here, this just proves that more people want more of them. Usually we just see this stuff in the reports.

Hi Classy, I don't think anybody expects or wants to selectively "not count" occasional chatty posts or pictures; God knows we are all guilty of that, myself included. But word games is a different animal altogether. Why can't all word games just be moved to the Lounge area?

If you look at them, they are in Suppliers Forums or Social Group Forums. I don't know of any that are in the General Forum...those would get closed or moved to The Lounge.

Tweety, I don't play the word games on ECF, so I would not be personally affected, if they were moved to the Lounge. But, I think that the word game players would complain, if they were moved from where they are now.

easy solution! only posts in the general forum should count!
