I was wrong (or, I should say, the definition posted is wrong) and,
after doing some research, kblair is right in that "Aging" (like wine, liquids) is a more accurate term than "Steeping" (like tea/coffee, solids) in our case.
"Steeping" does, in fact, assume a solid to liquid, liquid to solid dynamic as well as the extraction of either the solid or the liquid in the end product. It simply doesn't apply to a liquid to liquid reaction in any
sense.
On the plus side, I have a nice 2013 Chateau De Jour BikerBeagle RY4 I'm willing to sell for $1,000 per 30mL.
