Every year, my city puts on a Homemakers Arts and Crafts show the first week of November. I couldn't do it last year as my mom had just died, but I wanted to do it this year. It's not that I make lots of money, because I keep my prices reasonable where anyone can afford it. Silly as it sounds, I always pray over each piece I do because I add Jesus' name below mine in the sign of the fish. It still blows me away that people will actually pay money for what I create. Anyway, I've got a great deal to do within the next few weeks and could sure use some prayer cover, as I've been feeling so yucky lately. It's hard to create when you feel like garbage on a stick. My wonderful friends, and yes, I am talking to all of you, I need prayer cover........lots and lots of prayer cover. If I'm not online as much as I'd like to be, you'll know why. I am addicted to this site and my new friends. There's nothing better than to be high on Jesus! Amen, Hallelujah! Praise be to God, for He alone is worthy. :)

Ooh what do you make? I have done quit a bit of handy work...don't have much time any more, lol! I will pray God's strength and creativity be supplied to you as you work. It's really cool that you pray over every piece...I do believe there is power there, not in the article, but in the faith and the through His Spirit to touch the lives of others.
I would love to see some of your stuff :)....

I'mmmmmm bbbbaaaaacccckkkk! I can't stay away from this place. This is my safe place. This is where I can be me. I love all of you deeply, through the heart of Jesus, and may His presence emanate from this place. Let others feel loved by His presence that blesses this tiny part of the world, yet glows like a beacon. Lord may we all continue to do what is right because we love you and we know we are Your hands that toil everyday, to Your Glory. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Lord for this oasis in the desert of unbelief. Your beauty, Your Grace, Your loving heart is what we want for others because they really don't know what they are missing. To Your Glory Lord Jesus, our Savior, our King, Amein.

Okay, moving on......it still amazes me that I break out like that on this site. I just don't do that......I just didn't do that......there is power in the Praise of our God! Whoo hoo! Glory!

Uh, ahem, I paint on glass, wood, candles, make costume jewelry, I'm crocheting around edges of ladies handkerchiefs this time. I try to do that when I'm watching tv. I love to paint roses and rose buds. I have what I call my Trinity candle. It's a 2 inch pillar candle with 3 roses on it. Each are a different color, but it makes up one candle. Silly, I guess. But they come out nicely. They take longer to paint than most things, as I try to take special care with the details. People love them, but they've never been a big seller. Don't care. I only paint a few of them. :) I'm no artist, folks....I do Donna Dewberry's One Stroke painting with a 'saints' twist! I've always been into crafts and such. I love homemade things. A lot of love goes into them. My major problem is I can't sit and do it for very long without it crippling me. So I have to do it in stages, when I can!:)

Yeah, but it was bird poop with color! My first rose looked like a mum. I finally got the hang of it. THEN ONLY I would have trouble with one of the easier strokes.....the single leaf. I'd stay up half the night practicing on sheets of wax paper....any color that was on my paint brush.....my husband would get up to see sheets of green, yellow, blue, pink leaves. I still don't do them as well as other folks, but oh well! Now you know why I pray over each piece!

No one in this group is OLDER than 35. Age is a number, but youth is an attitude!:2cool:
