Would you date a smoker?

My wife still smokes as well. Didn't take to vaping when we both started. I think in her case she didn't find a liquid she liked and felt silly holding the battery. She will quit sometime this year so she says, I believe her.

So yes I would.... for how long, not sure lol.

After I separated a few years ago, I dated smokers and that is in fact what got me back smoking full time as opposed to casually/socially. I'm now living with my girlfriend and she's a smoker, and the only downside I have with it is the cost. I've been trying to bring her over from the dark side, but every time she tries, it makes her cough, as it did me when I first started. I'll just keep trying periodically with different flavor and strength liquids I guess.

I would date a smoker, especially if she was fun and hot looking. But then I probably wouldn't ask her out if she wasn't.

Now, just how far the relationship would go would depend upon how willing she would be to eventually quit should things get serious enough to discuss marriage. I can't imagine being married to a smoker again. So up until this point into the relationship, yeah, I'd date her. Especially if she looked like this.

I haven't seriously dated a non-smoker since I was 18 years old. Even though I was never really much of a smoker, it never bothered me much. I smoked more than usual when living with my last two exes, pack-a-day smokers. I can't imagine that I'd decline someone just because they smoked, but I do understand how it might be difficult for a typical ex-smoker to go into living with an active smoker. But, as with most things in life (and especially relationships), it's all about communication and consideration and through those two factors most things can be worked out.

As long as he were hot and courteous both, heck yes! There's nothing hotter than a soldier enjoying a smoke break, or a confident person who doesn't let the TCI wear him down to nothing but apologies. I still love the smell of a burning cigarette, even though my nose wrinkles around stale smoke until I've gotten used to it. I'd rather date a strong, confident, smoker than an ex-smoking obnoxious arrogant lecturer.

This is one of those questions that seems obvious but depends on a lot of factors. One is their "hotness" factor and the other is their "easiness" factor. Where those to coordinates meet on an X/Y chart is the answer to the question "Would you date a ______" where blank is always the variable. The higher up they meet on the chart, the more you'll put up with. A virgin that looks like Sandra Bernhard who is looking for a long term relationship and no sex before the wedding....no way. A murderous nymphomaniac cannibal crack addict that looks like Kate Beckinsale....sure, for the weekend and you just take your chances she won't kill and eat you. It's all in the math.

on 1 hand it sounds like a recovered alcoholic dating an alcoholic but on the other hand vaping does the trick and even next to smoker you don't feel the desire to have 1 .

I guess I don't mind dating a woman who smokes and even planned to ask 1 out but I am not sure because of the smell of cigs which I now hate .... Guess if things work out with her , the first gift is going to be an ecig

Heck yeah I'd date a chick that smokes even though the smell is horrible to me now. If you meet somebody that is cool then that's that. Now, if you think smoking is a trait you can't deal with in a mate then seek one that doesn't have that particular vice. I would not latch onto a chick with the expectation that I would change her or convince her to change her ways. $0.02

She actually has sensitivity to PG as do I. Upon realizing this and switching to 100% PG it doesn't mess with her throat as much, but she still refuses to give ecig a true shot. I have my eGo EVOD setup sitting in her room for when the cigs tempt, but after days it's still nearly full...
