yes -

I admit it is morally complex. I became hooked on cigarettes during he time tobacco company's were suppressing the data on the extreme health risk of tobacco. Thus they deserve some blame for my, and millions of others, addiction.

But, in a way I am still buying from them and supporting them in that I am vaping nicotine, which comes from the tobacco farms.

Thus, even though I am not now buying cigarettes, I am still a user of tobacco products, thus supporting tobacco companies.

And, even though I do not support the Chinese government, I am buying most of my vaping equipment, and much else, manufactured in China. So, whether I buy from a Chinese firm, or an American tobacco firm, I am supporting companies I find morally repugnant.

I didn't smoke them regularly (they were always pricey) but Nat Sherman's were my favorite cigs of all time. If they came out with an e-juice, I'd try it.
I do remember the Shermans, that was back in my Dunhill days. I really don't have an opinion. I had left Blu before their buy out/sell out,so I don't know. I was kind of ...... that Blu sold to them, but $$$$ talks and if I was the founder I would want my money,BUT.....

Well, probably.

They didn't force me to stick a cigarette in my mouth and light it. I knew the dangers and chose to ignore them. Is that their fault? I claim self-responsibility- one of those things that's becoming rarer and rarer.

Exactly this. In fact the company I started smoking with was not even the company I quit. If a tobacco company wins on price and quality I will use them with no issue.

If it was a quality product at a good price, then yeah, I probably would. With the exception of some of the seniors among us, we all knew what we were getting into with cigarettes, and most of us went around the age restriction laws to do it. I don't blame the cigarette companies for my addiction, any more than I blame McDonald's for me putting on some extra pounds. I knew perfectly well it wasn't good for me and did it anyway. Now, given a choice between a big corporation and a small business, should my budget allow I would far prefer to support the small business, but cost-wise that isn't always an option. I try to find a balance between ethics and practicality. Not always easy in today's economy, but one does one's best.

Not even for money. In fact, that's something that terrifies me. If (when) big tobacco companies decide to go all in on pv's/liquid, I'm afraid they'll absolutely decimate the competition. Think about it. They have more money for advertising than all of the current suppliers combined. They're already firmly entrenched in b/m stores. Also, strangely enough, they have brand recognition on their side. Can you imagine a smoker who's done little to no research (which will probably be most people) walking into a store and seeing Marlboro liquid sitting next to MBV liquid on a shelf? Which one do you think they'd buy?

I really don't like walmart but will go there to get something I need and can't get some where else. I can't stand exxon/mobil or citgo but if I needed gas and they were the only place I could get it would stop and buy. I don't use the cig-a-likes like blu or greensmoke anymore and I doubt the big companies will venture into mods or tanks so I can't see when I would use their products. if they did and I had to have it because for some reason I couldn't get my usual than, yes , I would use it . beats smoking and I don't ever remember them putting a gun to my head when I did. if they made a juice that tasted exactly like the cigs I used to smoke I would give it a try and probably use it.

Altria would no more destroy small e-juice shops than Budweiser destroys small, craft breweries. Quality product keeps customers coming back.

Altria couldnt, but Brown and Williamson could, and has done it to the roll your own market for years. They have bought out every decent rolling machine patent that has ever come out.

I would give up vaping before I would ingest anything they put on the market. Not because Im so mad at them for keeping me hooked all those years with their ingredients ( which I partially am mad about) , but now that Ive been weened off of all those things they put in their tobacco, I certainly wont be fooled again.

And they WILL do it again. Its coming. Wait and see.
