Im really trying to absorb as much info as I can before I make my first purchase. This is really a lot to take in!

Here's where Im at...I really liked the Seego G-hit that I tried the other day at the local vape shop. They have the single kit for $50, and the double kit for $70ish. The thing is, I cant find any decent reviews of this setup. There is one on youtube, but I havent gotten around to watching it yet.

The other option Im toying with...would it be cheaper/better to piece a kit together? What would I need to build a good solid rig?

Lastly, when I look at some of the suppliers, I get confused. They have a section for atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers and tubes. They all look the same to me, and I grasp the differences, but is the "tube" the actual atom/carto/clearomizer?

Either way, Im really leaning towards the G-hit, and its in my price range, and hope I will be vaping by the weekend!

Thanks for the input!

Looking on YT, the G-hit kit appears to be an Ego clone, with a 650 mah battery and a top coil clearo. Frankly, you can get a "real" Ego kit online for 50 bucks or less. I'm not an expert, but I would suggest an Ego twist 1100 mah battery, at least. It'll keep firing for a longer time period than the 650, depending on how much you vape. But, I've been very satisfied with it. You can find the clearos online fairly cheap...in the $4-5 range. I'm not really ragging the G-hit. I'm just giving you information from my experience. You can certainly get bigger and better mods later on, but the Egos are a solid battery.

I just went through the process you're going through and after several days finally decided on a Kangertech EVOD starter kit:

KangerTech EVOD BCC Starter Kit - MyFreedomSmokes.com

I'm a newbie like you and am in no position to give advice, but I suggest you do a little research on this kit before making your decision. Google "Kanger EVOD review" or Kanger EVOD starter review" (I think you get more hits if you use "Kanger" rather than "Kangertech".) You might even search this forum. There are also reviews on youtube, both on the Kanger EVOD BCCs and on the starter kit. My EVOD kit - plus a couple additional BCCs, heads and e-liquid is in transit. (I just wish I had ordered a Mini Protank II BCC too...)

I was just looking at a thread about as new Joyetech eGo setup that looks nice too -- but is apparently not yet in wide circulation. Look here if you're interested:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ego-type-models/458688-joyetech-ego-cc.html

I would have taken a closer look at it if I had known about it before I placed my order. Looks good, but I don't think there is a kit built around it yet.

For general information, check the Forum Library and read the "Wonderful World of Vaping" series -- at least the first few parts:

The ECF Library

Some of the info on particular models is a little dated, but there is a lot in the way of great general info.

Hope the above helps.

Good hunting!

Heya thanks Amber! Im actually in Hendertucky, but I still consider it Vegas.

As to my OP, I watched the youtube vids. I think Im gonna bite the bullet and go with the G-hit.

Hopefully Friday I can make it happen.

That sounds ok, but take a look here first.
MadVapes eGo 2.0 Ohm Cartomizer Kit

You get 2 batteries(900 mah--means battery lasts longer before having to recharge). If you don't like the cartomizer, they have the same kit with other options. Have a look. You have until Friday(according to your post)

:)

for the price of a $50 ego kit you can find a MVP 2 starting kit for about $10 more. Step right into the world of vv & vw, without wasting time and money on getting there. Ego style set ups are ok, and I mean ok, they work, you can vape, you can stop smoking, but they will leave on wanting. VV & or VW will get you there in one step, well maybe two. lol. After you decide on the pvd that you want, then it's finding the personal vapping atomizer you want. Before jumping on the band wagon, do a thorough search on all that's available, watch the reviews, check out the comparisons, then and only then make your purchase. Or you can get this then that then the other, and then get what you end up with and say, chit for all the money I spent on this hobby so far, I could of had a Provare, and VTR, a SVD a Reo....

But again the journey is all part of the learning experience padwan, don not try, do.

Heh. I went to the Seego website (szseego.com) and poked around. Seems they also make "herbal" atomizers - the "Vhit". Found these - which I thought were hilarious:

Free Herbal Vapes from China! The Seego Vhit Type C Review - YouTube
Seego V-hit series review ;A-hit B-hit C-hit - YouTube

...but I can already see the regulators rolling their eyes. I wish they had set up a separate company shell for that branch of their business. It would be better politically to keep those issues entirely separate from those surrounding e cigs.

Welcome!

The G-hit or a Kanger evod starter kit will serve you well.
The G is a top coil, like a vivi nova, so a warmer vape. The Evod is a bottom coil clearomizer, BCC, so a cooler vape and no tilting to keep the wicks wet.

Both kits will contain 2 ego style batteries that can be used with most everything on the market.

Perhaps if you order the G, pick up an evod bcc (about $7) and an extra charger. You will need the charger and the evod will give you a taste of the BCC world.

Have fun

No, but from what I've seen so far we have a better chance of staying on the high road if the issues don't get mixed. Personally, I have nothing against that fight either, but frankly if they succeed, I doubt they'll be using atomizers much. The e cig community, on the other hand, currently seems to increasingly have the science on our side.

Just my opinion. I just recently started looking seriously at the issues surrounding e cigs, so I may well be wrong.
