I did look through the forums first but couldn't really find the answer. Can the Joye 510 Mega Auto battery be charged using the chargers I use for my regular 510s? Won't charge at all, is it because it's 340mAh? TIA.

And just wanted to say I'm stunned by the amount of knowledge here. You folks are truly amazing.

Thanks Cags, it's a long slim 510. The thing is tho, the chargers I'm using are for 510 Fins and Jets. Are Joye batteries proprietary to their own chargers? If so, then I see my problem. Have it on another charger right now and it's not becoming hot, so will see what happens here.

Yes a Joye 510 Mega Auto battery can be charged using the chargers for regular 510s. I use the 510 shorts and megas and use the same charger for both. As a matter of fact I purchased a 10 port charger for my 510's (I have 6 now and one is a knock off but not sure what brand). The one thing you want to make sure of is that the connector on the charger and the battery are clean (I wipe the threads with a paper towel). Also the 510 manual batteries can be charger on them as well. I know on my non joye charger my 510's take much longer to charge. Been using the 510 auto batteries for 2 years now with no problems. I also use a ego twist and a vision spinner but I use an ego charger for both of them. I could charge my twist/spinner on my 510 charger but like Vapoor eyes er
said NEVER charge your 510's on an ego charger.

So, the Mega is the same as the XL, right? What I've read says to use the higher capacity charger. Now I'm really confused. Well, the standard charger didn't work, I ordered the one specific to the XL, so I'll see if that works. Other than that, six batts, all failing tonight, was almost close to opening the Marlboro packs I bought on April 22nd, but decided to try one of my Fin cartos. Even with diminished batts, the Fins got me through to now, about 12:30 PM. I can go to bed now. Gonna pick up some more Fin cartos and batteries this week, cause I almost went back to analog tonight without them. This is pretty surprising to me as I had just about written Fin off. Weird.

I've had charger trouble too. I had to label all my chargers; I ruined more than one battery due to incompatibility. I wish someone would've told me "just because it fits, doesn't mean it's the right charger". Don't laugh, but I was really tired, and I jammed my iPhone 5 lightning connector into the end of a joye 650 passthrough. The battery wouldn't charge properly after that; I would literally have to hold it in the entire time it was charging or it wouldn't connect. Wish I had discovered this forum sooner. :p

I know many different companies decide to give their branded devices some sort of name they come up with. To me the standard 510 is 220mAh and the mega is 340mAh. When I purchase my 510's now I always make sure they are Joye. The one knock off that I mentioned I have I really don't use anymore because it doesn't preform as well. I charge my 220 mAh and my 340 mAh with the same charger and have never had an issue. As a matter of fact when I purchased my original kit it came with one 220 and one 340 and only one charger. I did the same as Mimikim1234 and labeled my 510 usb charger and my ego charger so I know which is which. Good job on not opening that pack, I know I would have considered the same thing. I would recommend picking up an ego battery (or something) as a spare in case you have any issues in the future ... it may not be your favorite device for vaping but a backup to keep you off the stinkies.

Yes it can, an ego battery has 510 thread connections and ego connections. I use it all the time even with the same ohm's on my delivery device. If you wanted to you could go with an ego twist which would let you change your voltage. You could keep it at the same voltage as your 510 battery for now which would let you use the same ohm's delivery device and then look into different using different delivery devices with different ohm's on the future if you wanted. The ego twist isn't much more expensive than the ego and it would give you more options if you wanted later.

Also keep in mind an ego is a bigger battery in length and in girth compared to a 510 ... I would use a comparison of a 510 like a real cig and a ego about like a cigar. This also means the battery will last longer as well. They have many different mAh and that depends on how tall it will be

Wow, great. I'm thinking I'm going for the ego twist then. Here's the thing tho. I know it's kind of looked down on here, but I haven't advanced yet to filling my own cartos. I know it's costlier but I've been using Blu, Jet and Fin prefilled cartos and so far they've kept me off analogs for almost two months now. I'm happy with staying as I am for another month or two as long as I can improve my battery situation. So if the twist has 510 threads then I can use my current prefilled cartos, right? If that's so then I'll order the twist today! Thank you again for the help!

As long as Blu, Jet and Fin prefilled cartos have the 510 connection, yes you can. But make sure you don't turn your voltage up to high or you will get a burnt taste. I honestly wouldn't turn the voltage (dial at the bottom of the battery) at all but some people like a warmer vape. What I use the most with my 510 batteries is the Vision Nano 510 Clearomizer SR 2.4-2.9Ω

The vivi nova I use with my ego twist is the mini vivi nova (2.0ml) and that keeps it about the same size all the way up and it looks good. I would also suggest getting a small ego tank adapter. It is basically a thread cover that covers the ego threads while you are using something with a 510 connection. It makes it look better and sit flush and the aren't expensive.

On the ego tank adapters the small adapter fits the 2.0ml Vivi Nova Tank or 3.5ml DCT Tank and the large fits the 3.5ml Vivi Nova Tank or 6ml DCT Tank ... again this is strictly cosmetic for the most part.

The vivi nova usually comes in a box with 1 1.8ohm Coil Head, 1 2.4ohm Coil Head and 1 2.8ohm Coil head. You can also use them on your 510 battery but only use the 2.4 ohm.
