I started using WTA over the weekend- and found that it makes me very sleepy. Even a few hits puts me into such a drowsy state, I will literally fall asleep. I cut the WTA with PG and even the smallest amount has the same effect. I've read that some folks find it relaxes them- but for me, it seems to be to the extreme. So, the bad news for me is that I cannot vape WTA during the day at all. On the bright side, I vape it at night before bed and because I suffer from insomnia, it has helped tremendously for that.

I had such high hopes for WTA in terms of my getting over the cravings for analogs... but it has turned out that for me in particular, it acts as a sedative in the extreme.

So, it's back to regular nic juice for me and WTA only before bed...

Has anyone else experienced this?

In my opinion (now that I've tried the stuff), WTA is not for me- at least not in the way I had anticipated. The sedative qualities and the lethargy it causes were a complete surprise. Perhaps it is interacting with the antidepressant I have to take every day, I don't know. I'm just glad I got my WTA on Saturday- and discovered the full effects while I was at home. I hate to think of what would have happened if I had vaped it while driving any distance. Luckily I was at home the entire weekend.

Still using WTA? I don't get that experience at all. I feel a bit more relaxed like from smoking an analog. Anyways hope you figure it out. It might also be from the vender. I noticed as big difference in the two different vendors WTA. I have some Aromas WTA, which I highly recommend. If your doctor clears you to try it again we should meet for coffee and you can try some. I am really digging Mentol P-38.

I'm also curious since WTA works great for me. Perhaps it was the combination of anti-depressant and WTA. I know I had a script for beta blockers years ago that turned me into a zombie. One day and that was the end of that.

This is ridiculous. If e-cigs dont help you stay off analogs then go back to them - they're still there waiting. Lets not add any more crap to e-cigs. We're already lab monkeys with all the flavors we're inhaling.

Yes, your post is ridiculous, think about it. You're saying if nicquid doesn't work for you just smoke. Why should that stance be acceptable, why don't you just quit entirely or just smoke. Why use snus or other smokeless products, either quit or die.

No one's telling you to use WTA. It's just another option for those that traditional nicquid doesn't work. The only other "crap" that's being added are the other natural alkaloids that occur in tobacco. You be a lab monkey in your way. Let others be lab monkeys in theirs.

I believe I recognize a touch of hostility in the comments you posted, nuggetz...and believe it or not, THAT is one of the symptoms WTA might help you to overcome with ease! (With 'nic only' ejuice, my roomie was begging me to "PLEASE start smoking again", and it was because I was 'on edge' from something missing in my 'nicquid' (that's a GREAT term, rothenbj))!

WTA gave me what was missing...and NOW I'm vaping mostly 'nic only' juice, with WTA supplements about two days per week.

THANKS TO WTA in my vape, I'll be celebrating SIX MONTHS ANALOG FREE, in just another few days! HALLELUJAH!!! :D

QUESTION for ArronY:
From your blog, I get the impression you could tell a difference between the WTA juice from Vapelicious, and that of Aroma; am I reading that right???

Do you have a preference? (and if so...WHY?)

just curious...thinking I need to try Aroma, also! ;)

Mollie, I'm really surprised by your reaction to WTA. I know we are all different, and our bodies react differently, but I did not expect someone to have that much lethargy when vaping WTA. Have you ever tried dip? Or snus ? or nasal snus ? If WTA did that to you, then I would try Snus, or Snuff to see if you get the same negative side effects when you try these other Analog replacers (and of course try it at night)....

Then you will know if it's all non burning tobacco that gives you that feeling, or if it is something in the WTA that is causing that drowsiness and sleepiness... Since WTA is similar to using snuff/snus, I would expect the same results...Again, I'm basically asking you to be a lab rat and tell us your experiences, so you don't have to do any of it, and you can even tell me to go to hell  :toast: - but I'd be interested to know if snus/snuff gives me the same reaction as WTA.

For me, I'm a high intake "type" of nicotine user...used to smoke 2 packs a day, plus nasal snuff in the nose, and snus in the mouth when at work...and chain smoked before and after work until sleep...So needless to say, I'm vaping WTA all day, every day, but not chain vaping...I've cut my vaping in half from 4ml a day, to 2ml a day ever since I started WTA, and it's wonderful for me, and very helpful. I don't have to use snuff/snus anymore, since WTA gives me that without having to deal with all the mess of snuff/snus

Everything is different but to me Aromas ejuice is way way different. I just wrote a post on what I think WTA from Aroma makes me feel. I have the flu :( so I probably need to proof it again. I definitely recommend you try theres. But I might be wrong. But I feel it way way more. Tell me what you think if you try thiers. I am interested. I think there is a big difference. Wish I was clued in to it a while ago.

Ain't it AMAZING?!?!?!? :D

I received my first order of WTA juice on November 6, 2011...and have had no trouble with 'cravings' since then!
I still have that half pack of Winstons on my desk (been there for almost 6 months), but they no longer call my name. I figure I'll put'em in a drawer this weekend, cuz they're collecting dust!

AND...just for the heck of it, last night I ordered 5 bottles of the WTA infusions from Aroma, just to compare. I ordered Turkish Blend (12mg), DK-Tab (12mg), Peachy Keen (12mg), Red Tail Dry (12mg) and Menthol P-38 (18mg). I'm especially interested in trying these flavors, because they all are VG...and they have already been SHIPPED! :)

AaronY seemed to like Aroma juice pretty well, so I'm hoping for another winner...and will let ya know MY thoughts. ;)

Hope you're ALL continuing to do well! :vapor:

Will be looking for a comparison once your order comes in Mike. I just had a friend send me a bottle of Aroma's WTA that he didn't like so I'll get somewhat of a comparison myself once I empty either the clearomizer or tank I'm currently using.

LOL at your comment about your last pack. My last pack just got opened, it's over three years old, perhaps four as I had given 8 packs away after I found snus solved the rest of my cigarette craving. After all these years, my gf who got me into vaping has put a serious effort into quitting smoking herself. She's nearly off cigarettes, but still gets that "I need a smoke" feeling and asked me to open it up and give her a cigarette. She's had her second last weekend but she's doing good so far.

She tells me that they don't taste stale which I find hard to believe, but I don't even have the desire to take one drag. That's what over two years will do for you.

Does WTA contain cancer causing ingredients?
I have heard that alkaloids can cause cancer.

Why would I want to use WTA if that is the case?

Pete

Because WTA keeps you away from analog cigs which have more of a harm. It you don't need don't use it. I think it is the lesser of two evils. Do you disagree?

Have you tried Melatonin and L-Tryptophan? I am a night owl and find myself awake till all odd hours and have sleeping problems. These two combined and I can sleep like a baby whenever I need to. Actually had to take less as it was making me too sedated. Definitely worth a shot if you haven't tried them. Works for me as good as anything prescription.

I have tried them separately. Do they times each other in strength or just add together? Everyones bodies are different and react to thing differently. WTA gives my a calmness but don't act like a sleeping pill for me.

So what do you think?

I did get Aroma's DK-Tab, but I'm not a good reviewer of smokeless product, whether it is nicquid, WTA or snus. I night be a little clearer on nasal snuff since you use one product at a time (but with those products I have limited exposure).

Eventually, I'll use it in a virgin clearmizer I suppose. Yesterday, I had half a Mom and Pop tank (love those things, nice customization) of Strawberry Cheesecake and was going out for the day. I added 1 ml to about 3/4ml of SC and have been using it since. So, I ended up with a fruity tobacco flavor which I think I'm becoming a big fan of. This combination worked well for me, perhaps not for everyone. I know I like anything combined with WTA more than traditional nicquid.

I know you likened the comparison of Ethan and Jerry's WTAs to a comparison of Scotch and Tequila and I'd have to agree from the standpoint of flavor and both seem to get the job done for those that are aided by the alkaloid combination. I can't say I felt any difference between the two products from a sensory perspective. Choice to me would come down to flavor.

I like Ethan's WTA better at this point simply because I've had multiple exposures to his flavors and find his mixes very pleasant. Had I more experience with Jerry's my opinion could change. I'm sure at one point I'll order a number of bottles from him since I reviewed his site and saw things I'd be interested in trying. Right now I'm really pretty well supplied.

Most effective I have found is 1000mg L-Tryptophan + a melatonin strip that dissolves on the tongue (Dr. Fresh Naturals Melatonin Strips). Any more than that and I experience a headache and facial tension and a general feeling of unease. I would say that they combine together well (the tongue strip provides a more immediate effect, great for 20 mins before sleep).
