is there any way to get this darned juice shipped to canada... yet?varoma wont do it... and the other one is sketchy and expensive... heck with all the cash he makes you would think he would pay for a shopping cart payment system.. hence the sketchy. i know how to do the a/b extraction... it's actually very simple chemistry.. basic realy... i don't get why the mystique behind the procedure(s) as there are diff ways to do this... based on bp/soluability and ... well the reluctance to post the procedure is stupid imo because it isn't avail for the grater good... any one outside the usa at resonable acail.. that is.

i secretly wish china would start doing this..and dont think they arent 10 steps ahead... theyvarent as backwards as you would think in their factories/labs. there has to be a good reason.. be it a scary one or a regulatory one because any smart chem 12 student with a basic acud based extraction kit with the 4 good non polar solvents and some NaoH can do this...

sorry for the rant...

i just want to go onto aroma and order some juice... and have it shipped like 99% of the other decent vendors out there...

hell... why couldn't a vendor like litecig or absolutelyecigs get it from aroma and sell it? or aroma maje a deal with a canadian marjet like absolutelyecigs...

i get the american made.. but i wish someone would just email a simple generic extraction to every single vendor and pst it hundreds of times to youtube it get it into the hands of diy in an universally accessible way... asside from hoarding and profiteering...

ugh..

i just want to easilly order some wta... really sorry for rant..

i cant be the only one thinking this..

I am someone who's been diagnosed with GAD and formerly relied on cigarettes as a "safety net" for dealing with the symptoms. Nervousness, shortness of breath, tense muscles...the usual. I take 40mg of Celexa each day.

Anyway, the further away I've moved from smoking, it seems like some of these symptoms have reappeared(I was doing fairly well after a while when I was adjusted to the medicine) but it seems that since I've quit smoking, I feel much more edgy and deal with the symptoms more.

What I'm wondering is if WTA is something I might benefit from? Would it be harmful to use given that I take an SSRI? I know these are probably questions that can't be honestly answered but I'm curious about WTA and if it will help me even out a little bit.

Most effective I have found is 1000mg L-Tryptophan + a melatonin strip that dissolves on the tongue (Dr. Fresh Naturals Melatonin Strips). Any more than that and I experience a headache and facial tension and a general feeling of unease. I would say that they combine together well (the tongue strip provides a more immediate effect, great for 20 mins before sleep).

If you plan on supplementing with any of the Tryptophans for an extended duration, give this a read:

L-tryptophan contaminant

Obviously, since this entire thread is about Harm Reduction (Which WTA is obviously a big part of, especially when you directly compare vaporized WTA to pyrolized combustion products/byproducts of tobacco) any methods used to supplement WTA or make it more effective may have additional implications.

This would also be true for Mucuna Pruriens + WTA or any other similar potentiating combinations. You're not just going to potentiate the WTA, the (weak?) MAOI action will also cross-potentiate the corresponding potentiator itself, if that makes any sense.

A very basic indirect (yet vague and general) example of this is seen by Buproprion (wellbutrin) potentiating itself via different pathways. Now, I'm not saying this is what's going on here, but you definitely must consider any possibility of potentiation or interactions when introducing a substance into your body. Yes, we smoked cigarettes, but now that we don't we want to have an idea of what we're venturing into.

As WTA and tobacco are studied more and more, we will be more well prepared to understand what's going on with the intricate inner-workings of vaping and how they correspond to nicotine absorbtion, addiction, and satiation- as well as any potential health risks and benefits.

eXgo, I don't want this to sound like smack talk, but I have to ask. If you know how to do the extraction, why don't you just buy the tobacco and do the extraction yourself? I never was much chemistry so I don't have a clue, but it sounds like you're into DIY and that would appear to be a solution.

I can't speak for either company but I may be reluctant to ship to a country where nicquid is banned if I were a vendor.

Sorry not WTA related but is that found in all qualities of the supplement. That document is a little dense for me. Am I safe taking the GNC version or is that just as bad as the cheap grocery store stuff?

used it, don't like it, don't miss it, don't need it, never had cravings for analog's since I started vaping three years ago.....

Used it, loved it, wouldn't be without it, couldn't have stopped smoking without it, always had cravings for analog's since I started vaping 2.5 years ago...until I found WTA. NOW...I'm fine, and only use WTA once or twice a week, but IT DID THE TRICK 4 ME! :D

emonty, if you don't need it, I'm really happy for you. I'm also happy for ME. (Are YOU happy for me, too??)

YES!!! I am happy for anybody who kicked the bad habit. At the end of the day we are all still smokers though, addicted using a different method to get our satisfaction but which benefits us with the most important aspect of all: our health!!!

All over the place
I feel slightly embarrassed to admit this, but there are times when I want a cigarette that vaping will not work for me. I just recently had an art show and the drive to the gallery was quite treacherous. Nerves, anxiety, and over all excitement are (for me) not a good mix! I actually can't vape normal e-juice during these times as it seems to exacerbate those feelings. What I do now is just try to tough it out, however, I find myself thinking about smoking. I know that I don't want the morning after feeling of an analog (you all know what I am talking about), but would gladly accept that temporary easing of the nerves if I could get it. My questions is this: Does WTA have the potential to be more relaxing and less stimulating?

I have no problem vaping away the standard, oral, nicotine, run-of-the-mill cravings, but it doesn't work for me when it comes to calming the nerves. Any thoughts???

p.s. I don't want to switch per se, but I think it wouldn't be bad to have just in case.

Sup homie?

Yeah, after reading some info I determined that I ain't scared of it, considering it would be in the place of a cigarette. I mean jeez, I have come a long way from crazy and I used to put all types of things in my body. My question, that you answered, was: Does WTA have the potential to be more relaxing and less stimulating?
In a word...YES! :D (...at least, that's MY experience! :vapor:)
I have been taking vapers advice since the beginning, and I will continue! I appreciate your experience and I will take your word for it.

Thanks Mike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

on WTA--I am 70 yrs old-48 yr 2+pkd smoker-quit may 17/2010-
that is almost 2 yrs of vaping now,
But, as a high stress person and do not ever do the tranquilizer stuff,
still find there are times I NEED help .
Have found that keeping an ego on a lanyard around my neck, with aroma's WTA at 12 mg nic,
once or twice a day will do a hit and calms me down.
I usually almost chain vape with 12 mg nic, sometimes less but do NOT like the buzz affect of vaping higher nic.

When desperate to calm down, sometimes even light a cig, take one drag and it about blows my head apart, hate that, so the WTA is sooo much better and works for me.
I do NOT want to go back to smoking.
(stress levels can come from PTSD, people and or severe pain from back problems and arthritis.

In a word...YES! :D (...at least, that's MY experience! :vapor:)

I'll second the older hippy, only 64 here but had a 2-2.5 PAD for 43 years. Vaping for me took care of the hand to mouth, but never would have gotten me off smokes. Always needed a few for about six months, the I found Swedish snus that provided that calming effect that wasn't getting touched by nicquid. WTA liquid does the same thing. I've been totally smoke free for going on 2 1/4 years, hadn't even thought of a cigarette in that time except about a month ago when I had some anxiety. I used the WTA to get past those couple days and haven't had that feeling since.

I'll have 4-5 portions of snus a day, vape a ml of liquid (0 nic to WTA, depending on my mood) evert 2 to three days and I'm generally good to go. Quite a change from three years ago.

Don't feel embarrassed we all walked the path your on or still walking it.

I was having a difficult time getting away from having 4-6 smokes a day. I'd been vaping 2 months but still got strong feeling for a smoke and would give in. I heard about WTA and did some reading about it and the MAOI effect in tobacco smoke. Some of the reading said for a portion of smokers the MAOI effect can be more addictive than the nicotine itself. So I self-diagnosed myself as one of those people  and ordered some WTA. The day I vaped my 1st WTA is the last day I had a cigarette.

At first I just used it to get past the cigarette craving when it occurred and it worked well for me. I smoke it more regularly now but still go back and forth between nic-only and nic-WTA. For me it's 'you do what you gotta do to stay away from smoking tobacco'.

...My question, that you answered, was: Does WTA have the potential to be more relaxing and less stimulating?
Just so you know, the guys posting above are WAAAAAAAAY OLDER than ME! (I'm only 60! :D) :glare:

Even so, our experiences seem to be extremely similar. Like you, I often have public performances that put my nerves on edge (stagefright?), and driving to an event in traffic is the absolute worst! YUCK!!! During such times, I could chain vape every breath, and have done the 'nic-overdose' more than once. Not good.

Yet, with WTA juice, I vape significantly less, and feel much more 'comfy'. Like old hippy, I don't do tranquilizer stuff, but probably would without my vape (including WTA).

If I go for a week or so without using WTA juice, I CAN feel it 'kick in', and it's an old familiar feeling of relaxation. But if I use it too often, I'm unaware of any effects it might offer. That doesn't mean I'm not getting a benefit, but I don't consciously notice them.

To my knowledge, there are only two vendors selling WTA juice, and I like them both (http://www.vapelicious.com/ and Aroma Ejuice Manufacturer of WTA Whole Tobacco Alkaloid Eliquid). I think I get more of a 'kick' from vapelicious juice with Xtra High WTA, but I certainly get the desired effect of greater relaxation, from BOTH!

Aroma's 'Menthol P-38' (12mg with WTA) might be the very best menthol juice I've found (Thanks AaronY!).
I've also sampled Aroma's:
Red Tail Dry Blend - I like it! (12mg with WTA)
DK-Tab - LIKE...light on taste. (12mg with WTA)
Turkish Blend - " " " (12mg with WTA)
Peachy Keen - " " " (12mg with WTA)

The Vapelicious website is currently under re-construction, but there are some excellent flavors there, too, and I will re-order from BOTH vendors!

(Mr. Mann, if I had previously known you might be interested in WTA, I would have sent you a sample. Sorry 'bout that.)

WTA may not 'be' the future, but it gave ME 'a future'...and HOPE for a better tomorrow! ;)

CONTINUED GOOD LUCK for ALL of us!
