Natalia, what a great idea to post your Mom's recipe!

My Mom's Ribbon Cookies

1 cup of butter
1 1/4 cup of sugar
Cream Ingredients

Add
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Divide into thirds

Add 1 sq baking chocolate melted to 1 third
Add red food coloring to 1 third
Leave other third plain

Layer in loaf pan 9 1/4 x 5 1/4 x 3 any order you want. Brown, White, Red or Red, Brown, White......
Leave in refrigerator for overnight or 8 ish hours will do. Remove from pan and slice to yield about 5 dozen cookies.

350 degrees for 10 minutes
