yeah maybe I'll just tie the ends where I'll make the cut with some kanthal wires or something. I saw this post on another forum where he used nail clippers, heres the link Rewicking Kanger T3's with XC-116 braided ceramic wick doesnt look too bad from the looks of it using a nail clipper! (not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to another forum)

Not sure if this has been said before as I don't have the time to read every post but I've been torching my XC-116 before I cut it & it barely frays at all, works like a charm. I recently rebuilt my Kanger MT3S with the XC-116 & WOW, SO MUCH BETTER THAN SILICA!!! The vapor & flavor is quite surprising, tons of vapor & EXCELLENT flavor, so clean & fresh because the XC-116 doesn't burn. Ive heard people say they've tried the XC-116 on the Kanger T3 & they get a burnt taste, that is absolutely not the case with it in the MT3S, at least not for me, its about the best vape Ive had to date, I am still very much a newbie so that's not saying much but all I know is that I will NEVER buy/use silica again, the XC-116 is that good.
