XMAS Gift for Mom?

Hey friends,

I want to try to get my mom to switch to over to vaping, and want to get her a battery for xmas. I know a few things:

She probably will be most receptive to a cig-style battery setup: Im thinking something like your standard joye 510. I'd like it to be 510 threaded and automatic, so i can give her some of my cartomizers.

Id like to give her a 'kit' that has at least two batts and a charger.

I think she will be most likely to enjoy her first vaping experience if it is verrrrry easy. im talking basic basic. thats why im thinking cig style auto bat. I know a gazillion vendors sell these now (smokeless image, v2 (808 though) etc.) but am unsure whats the best price/quality

I can baby her and fill cartos and such when im with her over xmas, but ideally id like her to be able to handle the basics on her own when i leave and hopefully she can enjoy vaping as much as i do and finally give up smoking!

Suggestions and advice?

Maybe check out vapor4life now I haven't tried any of their stuff, but I want to! Thought I was done with 808 cigarette looking things....they have some neat looking stuff. So did cig easy. The tanks for the 808 is what got me wanting those things. Of course you can just go with the cartomizers but it is good to have options.

For starter kits – I went through Electronic Cigarette & E Cigarette Products by PremiumECigarette.com just because that’s the company I started with. My mother and sister and I all got starter kits. They still order their cartos from Premium – I have moved on to… “other systems” (They roll their eyes whenever I haul out my toolbox… “Look at my new toy!!”)


Premium, in my opinion, is a good starter kit. Not too pricey, easy 2 piece system – and the a huge selling point my mother and sister was that the batteries are customizable. All kinds of cool colors, patterns, bling – what have you.


I realize there are many great starter kits out there. I know Premiums worked for my family and I. Good luck!


Oh PS – I also like OZONESmoke.com … I got one of their starter kits too. One of their flavors – “Energy” - *droooooll* omg… so in love with that flavor. I use tanks and liquid now, but I still order a package of Ozone Energy flavors now and then.

Oh and Vapor4Life - now this is my OPINION, but I didnt like their starter kit very much. I may have just got a bad battery, it happens, but the battery I bought from them lasted all of 3 days, then DEAD. Like dead, dead. I DO order my WOW juices through Vapor4Life - no complaints at all in that area. I just wouldnt recomend their hardware to anyone. Again, just my own experience and it might just be I drew the short straw.

I have not tried any but have not heard good things about the 510 auto batteries. All the genuine Joyetech 510 kits I've seen have all been manual because that's the kit Joye has (they don't appear to make a 510 auto starter kit).

I can vouch for the Smokeless Image Volt systems (808-D1) as the wife has them and loves 'em. Since the cartos are pretty cheap, I'd consider going that route for a cig-a-like.

@betterBquietnow, My brother got me and my wife the joye 510T starter kits for christmas and I love mine to death, the transition from analogs to this has been very easy.

I actually spent all last night looking for upgrades for my battery because of my job I need a battery that will last longer. However, I've used the bigger battery that come with my kit, it's lasted me 9 hours to get me through work so i'm in now rush to get my upgrades just looking and learning for now.
