I just started using an extra long automatic VL4 battery and it is awful even with new VL4 cartomizers. I am so disappointed!

The draw is like sucking on one of those little straws you see on a wd40 can!!!! I feel like a damn vampire sucking on a neck!

My other kr808 batts work just fine. The xtra long one does not have a notch in the top part (screw in part) and that is the problem. Unscrewing the cartz does not help.

Are all the xtra long batteries like this?

Am I doing something wrong?

not with my 3 xl batteries....two auto and 1 manual.

they work fine, easy draw, plenty of vapor and throat hit.

they last me about 5 hours in a charge vaping constantly.

Are the holes on the bottom of the battery threads clogged?
That is one of the first things I checked. I used a needle to poke into the holes and it hits the white plastic ring on the inside. I jiggled the needle aroundbut it did not make a difference.

Do I contact V4L about this because I got a bum one?

Listen to what Joe said. I've had a couple of brand new batteries that had some white stuff clogging the holes. Take a pin and make sure they're completely open.

Also, have you tried another carto? Once in a while, one will have a very shallow groove or none at all.

Are you saying that I have to make the needle/pin go all the way THROUGH the white plastic?

And yes, I have tried more than one new cartomizer.

Should I contact V4L about this?

I just looked and I have one battery that does have a little white plastic showing at the very bottom of the holes. That battery vapes just fine.

If there's any on the sides or top of the hole, that is a problem. A pin (or needle) should be able to easily go all the way through the hole and touch the center battery post. FWIW, I usually use a push-pin, so that's fairly large.

By all means, if it isn't that simple to fix, let them know. As you know, they are all about quality and making us SMILE.

There are 4 tiny, tiny holes on the bottom of the screw in part. The plastic ring is on the inside around the midle post. In order to touch the middle post I would have to force the needle (pin is too large for holes) through the plastic insert!

That is a problem. Let them know so they can replace it. The cartos will only work if there's airflow through those little holes.

As a workaround until the replacement gets there, you could try pushing the ring down with a thin, blunt object. A small flat-tipped screwdriver might work.

SOme of our older batteries were mis-manufactured with itsy-bitsy teeny-tiny holes. I think you'd like our new regular length ones better, with much bigger holes. Contact Val in customer service, she'll take care of you.
Sounds like the one I got :-(
Are there any automatic xtra large ones with bigger draw holes? I got the xtra large for it's longer battery life and I would hate to end up with a shorter one.
