What metal are the 510 threads?

If you're having some crunching, it wouldn't hurt to clean them with alcohol on q tips after you've screwed on a few tanks. You may have some miniscule shavings in there now that could start reading as an atty short.

And yes, what is the Easter egg test?

The threads that my atties screw into are fine. I want to remove the 510 base to clean the paint off for a better ground to the mod

The 510 plate threads sticking thru the top half. I unscrewed the 510 plate and greased the threads with electric grease. Ohms staying steady now. Also don't worry about any juice leaking into the electronics don't see any chance of juice seeping in

Yea baby! I'm loving the counterfeit repair thread! LOL

The Easter egg for an AUTHENTIC Evolv chip: Run the power down to 1 and CONTINUE to hold the power down button. After a second or two or three you will see the "Genuine" blurb on the screen. If you don't see the blurb your device is not kosher which is this chip. No biggie in Power mode but I would be reluctant to try TP given the other issues involved but to each their own.

My power buttons suck eggs! Add some Ham and a Bagel if you want. The new atty prompt and then neither one works until I've tried it 6 or seven times. That's not Kosher and they still don't always work on the first click for up or down.

Found another KFL+ which threads better and stays firm, unlike my first wobble atty. Yea, I will check for shavings and give the puppy yet another bath!

/Back to the repair lab!

I just want to know if all these XvoStick clones which were purchased from 3FVape get a "Ohms Too High" error message when using a coil of greater than 1.0 ohms.

If they do, maybe the clones from FastTech or Focalecig don't have this error message problem (different Chinese manufacturer possibly)?

I THINK what we are seeing with that message " ohm too high" is that limit of the mod is probably 6 volts. Ohm's calculator says a 1.1 ohm coil running at anything over 32 watts is 6 volts. When we are running a .9 ohm coil you can vape up to 40 watts before you reach 6 volts

Roxy, I'm not sure if you were directing this to me or not, but I have no clue on the metal of the threads.

Alcohol cleaning is a great suggestion. From what I experienced tho, it was never a question of an atty short. Just crunchy threads. :)

Question was to anyone who knew the answer :)

My Vaporflask (clone) had crunchy copper threads in the 510. That first day it was telling me atomizer short. I cleaned the 510 just in case and found 2 extremely tiny shavings. It was fine then. So I threw that out there in case anyone's crunchy Clownstick got tiny shavings as well after chasing the threads.

OHMs to high: Has not appeared in my counterfeit. Both attys are built at around 1.5 OHMS and running around 13 watts. I only use the heavy metal stuff late at night.

Yes that would make sense at those settings you are only vaping at 4.4 volts. Where I am vaping at much higher wattage and lower ohms

Well, now that we have some reviews of the XvoStick clone from 3FVape, maybe we can get a little review of the clone being sold by either Fasttech or Focalecig.

Anyone order one of these clones from either Fasttech or Focalecig yet? (they might be made by a different Chinese company)
I ordered one black Clownstick via Fasttech, but Restocking in the moment/~7-10 days to ship. Also open support tickets to clear with clown supplier: #1: The body color is painted or anodized aluminium ?; #2: The material of buttons are stainless steel or aluminium ? I`ll review a.s.a.p. here.

Thanks a bunch buergermeester !

The only reason I have not ordered one yet is because I am still in the Philippines (they won't ship here), but I will be back in the US on the end of November ... I will order one then. Hopefully we will all know what clone has the least amount of issues by then.

So far, I see that these clones are available through Fasttech, Focalecig, 3FVape and Gearbest. They all appear to be the same except that the XvoStick clone sold through Gearbest says that it does NOT have a spring-loaded 510 center pin, so I guess that clone is made by some other Chinese company.

The 3F clown has defenitly spring-loaded 510, know it from German review. Therefore (I believe) different Chinese supplier.

The Magoo is 23mm in diameter .... Might be a tight fit?

I think the XvoStick is made for a 22mm diameter vaporizer.

Have you tried?

The original Xvostick description says that fit atomizer with diameter 23 mm or less, atty hole 23,5 mm...
