I don't want to turn this into a clone thread either, but I've been considering one of these mods, and in light of the issues, I'm now considering a clone. I don't normally buy clone mods as there are many authentic ones that are affordable and have held up well for me, like Sigeleis. I did buy a clone VF on a whim one night when Focalecig put them on sale for like $35. And to my surprise that Kangxin chip has been less goofy than my Evolv chips. So the clone Xvostick may be ok as is, and perhaps less problematic? I also don't mind rebuilding mods as much when I paid very little for them, but when I shell out the bucks for something pricey, I expect it to be quality.

I would like to hear from authentic owners on this. Try, if you can, to not have a clone bias. I have a couple of clone attys now that have turned out to be nicer than their authentic "brothers"

DPL and I both have promised to do some investigating and comparisons once we have them both, clone and authentic. That might take awhile, but we'll be on that eventually.

Yes, not only do they need to tell us which color is which, but now non English speaking people are going to order the wrong one And quite possibly some native English speakers

Someone on the FC thread seems to think this clone is by SXK. I'm doubtful as both 3f and FC generally tell you if its made by SXK. Can any of you see that video well enough to see if there are tcr curves for other wire types...I want to say SXK uses a scale from 1 to 100.

IF this is the SXK chip, I'm getting one. I've been wanting to try out that chip. I didn't want another clone VF, Zero, VS or their mod that looks like a brass Hana skinny. But, if its in this Xvostick, well, I may have to cave.

The bad:
- had to pay some taxes...but somehow only $30,-...
- my firebutton rattles

The good:
- well as my firebutton rattles, it seems a bit loose...so I am sure a sticky button won't be an issue
- only had to pay $30 in taxes instead of the dreaded $130
- it works!!

I am happy! But not sure if I should do something about the rattling button, it doesn't bother me that much, but not sure if it can cause an issue in the future....
But don't think I am botherd enough to send it back in...So I think I'll just send Mini-ecig a message stating that the button rattles, so they know that now..so if it does cause a issue they know it was there from the start.

For now I gonna play with it!

Honestly? I've never understood all the craziness about a rattly button. Let it rattle! As long as it doesn't stick.

I hope you love it as much as I do. It's quickly becoming my Go To device. If it holds up, we've got a future together, it & I.

I agree...I can certainly live with a rattly button...much better than a sticky one....even better would be offcourse to have neither Which I think we should expect from a $230 device..
But other than that it is flawless...not paint damage etc. nice weight, feels durable, responsive buttons, vapes like a champ,very nice

For now indeed I am not taking action on the button...it's just a minor thing.
I'm gonna work it some time and see how it holds up...poor sx mini...bumped to second place in the picking order..

Funny thing is that my Minis got sold the minute I set eyes on the Xvo. I knew I'd found what I'd been looking for (queue U2).

Yeah, rattly buttons...one of my new istick 100Ws sounds like a pair of maracas . Now that is a cheap mod so I don't know if that means they're going to fall apart or just be annoying. At any rate, I put a silicone sleeve on it and now its quiet.

Maybe with the clone Xvosticks coming out someone will make sleeves.

YEP! Ratty is better than sticky. Mine is fine. Even my very small nick in the finish does not bother me. If you get bored with the color then wrap it. For the ladies!
