What atty is in post [HASHTAG]#726[/HASHTAG]? Also, has anyone had issues w/ the USB charger not working? Mine never did...

My charger does not work quite right either (i think it has to do with my Anker charging block). I decided to skip mini-ecig and go straight to Evolv. I'm still waiting for a response after I pushed back to their first response.

Hello,

I recently purchased an Xvostick mod direct from Mini-Ecig.com and my dna 40 (small screen latest version) does not appear to be able to charge using USB any more. No matter how long the mod is plugged in the battery indicator does not change. The red indicator light does illuminate but when it turns off (indicating charge complete) the battery voltage also has not changed. When a battery which was charged using an external charger is inserted into the mod the dna 40 does not detect the proper full voltage.

I had a similar problem with my Vapor Flask and had to RMA the device for a board replacement. Mini-Ecig however has suggested I contact Evolv for chip warranty issues.

Please let me know my options for getting this fixed under warranty. Thank you.

Hi Dustin

This is likely an issue with the charger itself. The DNA 40 does not have on board charging circuitry. Please explain the issue to mini e cig as a mod/charger issue as we do not believe this to be related to the DNA 40 itself. Please let me know what they say.

Thank You,
Steve

The board may not have charging but the mod is outfitted with the evolv 1amp charging board. Is this not covered?

Could NOT agree MORE. At this point in time, I've nearly reached the saturation point with either help or communications from Mini. WHAT A SHAME.

I would also recommend Vapin Art as the vendor of choice for the Xvo. At least you'll get SEVEN DAYS if you need return it!!!
Nowhere in the UK seems to be selling it at the moment. I'll see what they say tomorrow - they have emailed me today so they have been pretty prompt with replies so far.
If I followed correctly, you did precisely what they said, but after screwing the atty and plate in, then you need to set the set screw.

Did it make contact?
I would have done that - but it didn't make contact. When I fire it without an atty it doesn't say check atomiser either which I would have expected?

Wow. WOW! Oh, man... :(

Yes, Dustin - that is mine. It is the Kabuki tank, as Kat indicated. It's a great tank, and with the correct tip, it almost becomes a Billet Box (just the tip above the rim.

And Kat and I both agree that your issue sounds like a board issue to both of us, but you have to be stuck in the middle? This whole thing absolutely stinks. I feel TERRIBLE for you (too).

I'm almost regretting starting this thread, and drawing attention to the mod.

To anyone who purchased because of me, and is having problems, please accept my very sincere apologies. I truly am sorry.

You are correct. It should say check atty with nothing attached. You've got a bad one, as I had.

I feel sick. :(:(:(:(:(

One thing I have noticed is my battery cap doesn't screw all the way down when battery is installed - it's a new flat top AW IMR. I don't know if it's longer than any other 18650 and whether that would stop it making a proper connection?

It might be. The LG's fit down perfectly, but my Orbtronics do not. I think it depends on the battery.

Maybe, but I believe If that was the problem the mod wouldn't turn on.

With my limited understanding of electronics it sounds like mini didn't attach the leads from the chip to the 510 properly

That does make sense but I know some of their ministicks had a problem with firing because of a bit of paint or something on the top of battery cap threads - I might just order a different battery to try (I only have AW's at the moment) - I did mention the batteries I was using in my email but they are quite new (I think) so they may not have experience of them. Thanks everyone for support and help - I'll let you know of any further developments :)

I called vapinart, but their "techs" were at a convention. I'll give them a call some time next week...

That might be the standard line :)

I had to call them about 10 days ago about my order, the first thing the woman who answered told me before I even explained what I was calling about was that everyone was at a convention. She sounded flustered.

Wow, that's really far from screwing in all the way. Can you measure the length of the battery? I'd be curious and could compare to the ones I have around, all mine fit fine.

It's 2.5 inches/6.5 cm (AW IMR flat top 18650 3000mAh).

Sure- thats the 65 part (but my tallest 18650 is a little more than 66mm.)

That doesn't account for the difference though. Unless I'm looking at your image wrong, there's something wrong with your battery cap. It looks like the flat part that rises up to form the finger grooves is inset below the top axis of the cap. Is it? See:
