CONGRATULATIONS, Vakaion!!! No worries about me - it's already concluded (in my mind).

Feel free to post a pic of the Dani. I'd love to see it. :)

I'll post in the regulated mods thread in a few. :)
Not much to see though, it's a standard tube-looking mod. lol
Functionality though smashes my DNA40s outta the park.

Understood. And yes - they're quite beautiful.

What will you do if you decide to get another mod? Grow another hand? ;)

Take up yoga, get hip flexibility back to my teenage levels, and use my feet as well? lol

ooh yea...I love my Dani (small, v2+) also...it's a very convient little mod to take along...it's my work mod and the Xvostick my "going into town" mod :D (and currently also still my daily "at home" mod)

Mine will be used the other way around. The Xvo is perfect for my workplace and general use (concealable to save me being harassed, and protects the atty from knocks), and the Dani when out on the town. :)

I've got to give it to you Aussies for creativity!:D

Haha! My other thought was get one of those hands-free harmonica chest brackets some musicians use, and just mount three or four mods on one! ;)

I just received this message from Mini. I will refrain from editorializing, and simply post what was written (verbatim).

I'm not a POH regular, but if anyone knows them, and wishes to verify the "refunded" reference, I would personally be interested in knowing whether or not that is true.

>

Hi David,

There is a problem for me to reply the XvoStick users theme:

(You have insufficient privileges to reply here.)

That looks unfair. We have problems with less then 2% of all XvoSticks which is very good value for such a complex product. The most problems are with the chips. There is 1 year warranty for the chips.

We always support our customers and never leave them in trouble.

I should comment the case in the video. It is a misunderstanding. The money was refunded. We never lie to our customers.
We're a factory, so we ship items right after production. If we get faulty items, we have to say that we don't have any even if yesterday we expected them to be in stock. Or somebody might change his mind and request a refund before an item is shipped. Then suddenly we get a spare item though we said that we don't have any.

As soon as your XvoStick is repaired and shipped I'll send you a notification.

Have a nice day,

Since we know he's reading the thread, I'll now share my reply. I'm so done with them.

Honestly, Chels - you guys couldn't have handled my issues more poorly than you have. I can't speak for others, but my experiences have been absolutely atrocious. I provided you more than ample opportunity to make things right, and you never failed to choose the incorrect path.

My role is Director of Client Services for one of the top-five executive transportation companies in the world. My clients are heads-of-industry, heads-of-state, and most are names that would be recognized immediately by anyone in the world.

I spend 20-50% of my time managing issues and complaints by these very powerful people. I empower my team to make decisions, and the emphasis is ALWAYS on making sure that client leaves their bad experience with a GOOD opinion of us, not a bad one.

If any of my employees had handled a situation they way that you did, they'd have been fired on the spot.

That's reality. You can disagree, but it changes absolutely nothing.

If you haven't yet gotten the message that you're lacking in the Customer Service area, which it appears you have not, then you might truly be hopeless (in that regard).

Knowing that, I am truly sorry that I ever opened that ECF thread. Many people have purchased the mod because of the thread, and I feel somewhat responsible for their bad experiences, for those who've had them (well documented).

And yes, I realize you have my mod in your hands. I truly don't believe it will ever work properly anyway, and am sorry that I decided to send it back (again). It should have remained on the shelf, exactly as I told you that it would.

You feel comfortable doing things exactly as you are, so please continue doing so. If I were to ever invest by purchasing your company, I know exactly who I'd fire first.

And I seriously considered closing this thread. I'm opting to keep it open, at least for now, to ensure that others have to opportunity to get a full education prior to investing their money with Mini.

Much of Kat's and my decision to purchase was based on what we thought was an excellent reputation. There were very few documented problems, which gave us false hope. The number of people who have since come out and admitted to having issues, was both alarming and surprising to us.

If this thread serves no other purpose, it may save someone else from making the same under-educated decision that we did.

Kat now has two working Xvo's (one from Mini), and I have one (NOT from Mini). We will keep them, and we will enjoy them (believe it or not). But we will never recommend them.

Best of luck to all who decide to swim in the murky waters of Mini.

Longo, OUT.

Yeah, I kinda feel sad because my positive experiences with the Xvo partially encouraged you into that mess. Sorry @DPLongo22 !

Things will possibly get "interesting" for me in the future in regards to a friend of mine being interested in one. I'm on the fence about recommending they buy an Xvo as I personally have zero problems with mine, but people I respect (and others) have reported issues. I think I'll keep an eye on this thread for a month or two and see how things pan out before leading them one way or the other.

This is like the dna40s all over again... my chips worked (and still work!) flawlessly, but others have had major issues. >_<

Not at all, my good Australian friend. I was absolutely BENT on getting one from the moment I set eyes on it, which was long before I even started this thread. The best attempts, by my very BEST friend even, would not deter me from my path. And while she got dragged along it with me, I don't think either of us regret it.

It had me at "hello", as someone once said.

please leave the thread open DP....I think it's a marvelous read on how we all very much like the devices, but also what the possible downsides/riscs are in buying one. I think with this thread people can make a very educated decision, as the pro and cons are all in here.

Thanks for all the emotional support - all of you. It is neither unnoticed nor unappreciated.

wow....that's just harsh :grr: :( It seems nothing is spared you and Kat regarding these devices, very sorry to hear that. Unbelievable that they want you to go through all that again, especially when the first time around they didn't properly fix it.
Wake up Chels!...you need to up your QC and CS...with these clones out there it is the thing that can make a difference!

Oh did you just nail it, dru! I have a feeling that Chels alarm clock no longer has a working snooze button. (or, hmm... maybe it's a STICKY snooze button) ;)

That's it, vakaion. This is definitely a case of pics or it didn't happen!

And huge thanks to you, and to you, drugarth, for all your support to both of us. This whole ordeal has fried our nerves way too many times. Having said that, the Xvo IS a kool little mod! I'm hoping anyone reading this will be well-prepared to take the chance on it...... or not. The information is all here.

As an update, there has been no reply (yet) to my message to Mini. Anybody feel like placing a bet on when I'll get one? ;)

Just out of curiosity DPLongo22 anytime you have to return expensive merchandise like a Xvostick back do you request a signature confirmation from USPS?

Just got off the phone to alert VA that my defective Xvostick package was delivered to them and was curious if my new replacement would go out today! To my surprise she said it went out the day I called (Monday) and gave me a tracking number! It's almost to my doorstep!
Now that is customer service!

Hi gang,

Sorry to hear of your problems. It doesn't give me much confidence if something goes wrong with mine.

I received my Prometey 3 from Titanium Mods today which I bought specifically for the Xvostick. I've never owned anything titanium before and I'm surprised at how light it is and it's tiny. I've set it up similar to a Spheroid v3 and it seems to be a great match for the Xvostick.

I hope you guys get yours sorted and get what you paid for.
