XvoStick users?

And before I take my leave for the evening, I still feel compelled (for whatever reason) to give credit where due.

Mini did send me tracking info earlier today, and they also offered to refund my shipping cost. I did tell them it wasn't nearly as important as getting back a trouble-free mod, so I'm not sure whether they WILL now, but they DID offer.

And that, in and of itself, is a good thing. So I do appreciate it the offer.

I'll appreciate a whole lot more if the mod has no further troubles.

So I've been laying in bed watching my Cincinnati Bengals kick the Cleveland Browns a** (kinda) and reading on the dna 40 board! Occasionally I'd pick my broken xvostick up and PLAY with it! (not vape) and all of a sudden I see check atomizer! (which is normal with no atomizer attached) Normally it would read 0.06 ohms! I put the Kabuki on/in it and it's been vaping fine for the last hour or so! I haven't taken Kabuki off yet so we'll see what happens!

Hi gang,
I received my Prometey 3 from Titanium Mods today which I bought specifically for the Xvostick. I've never owned anything titanium before and I'm surprised at how light it is and it's tiny. I've set it up similar to a Spheroid v3 and it seems to be a great match for the Xvostick.

I too have the prometey, I had not matched it before, but now that I've seen how nice it fits I immediately put it on.

I'm going to leave this here as place marker so I know where to start next week when I get back.

Mine is likely out of commission this week due to a tank that leaked half way across the country yesterday and I didn't bring supplies and don't have the time to properly clean it up.

Something I noticed the other night though may help to explain some of the issues. There is some kind of a coating on the top of the disk, with the disk out you can feel that the top is different from the bottom. I noticed this when I was trying to soak up a stray drop of juice on the disk, I could smear it around, but for some reason I couldn't pick it up completely with a Q Tip or a paper towel. I'm wondering what this is and where it is and if it may be contributing to some mods having such a hard time getting solid connections?

Anyway I didn't bring my little wrench or my Everclear to clean up the mess above and below the disk so I'm going to take it out of the rotation to keep from baking a bunch juice into that area.

Buy some cheap vodka or rubbing alcohol. Especially if it is for a mod & not the inside of a tank. Moonshine works too (as long as it's not flavored).

Excellent news, Motzell! Keep us updated with the new replacement please.

The majority of issues seem to be straight out of the box. I hope that holds true for all of us.

Mini also sent what appeared to be a pretty sincere and heartfelt apology to me. I felt bad to losing my temper to the degree that I did, and I offered the same in return. If my SS returns working flawlessly, I won't have any difficulty putting it all behind me, and simply enjoying what has definitely become my favorite mod.

I'm sure the novelty will wear off at some point. At least I HOPE it does, because I find it difficult to reach for other mods lately. I do enjoy the Xvo SO much...

Thanks DP! It has become my favorite as well! I never would have thought any mod would put my Billets on the shelf! In my 6 years of vaping this has to be my favorite!

I know. My Billets aren't quite on-the-shelf, but they're no longer getting the daily pounding they've been taking for the past... two years (wow).

So maybe that's a good thing. They were due for a tag-out. Overdue. And I'm fond enough of them that they'll always get used. Only my raw one sits in museum-mode. I find a nice display case for it, one of these days.

Still waiting for my xvo but this did arrive this morning on a slow boat from China

and I'm very happy to say it it worked first time. I do need to find time to investigate why it seems to think I'm in TC and asks me if it's a new coil every time I put a tank on (kanthal, vw) - but as it works anyway there's no rush. It's soooo cute and dinky and adorable - I am now feeling impatient again for my real one
