Mine was 7 days, but Royal Mail is not known for being super speedy - so you never know...

Thank you kindly. Our colonized version probably makes yours look like a Veyron. I was figuring about two weeks, and I expect that's about correct. I'm being patient (this time).

I can't take getting upset anymore. Even if it NEVER arrives, I'll just blow it off. To quote Roberto Duran, "No mas!"

Thanks, Kate, but I'm actually fine with it all (now). I've "reconciled" everything accordingly. I jumped prematurely, knowing FULLY the risks I was taking, so I really need to just accept it. I also knew full well that this style mod would soon take over, and that options would become available more quickly than I could possibly imagine.

But I refused to (a) listen to reason, or (b) be deterred from my intentions. It was stupid - and I have learned my lesson. Some prices are higher than others, but THIS one will not be forgotten.

Thankfully, I do have one. And I'm SO HAPPY about that, even if it IS my hated brass. The form and comfort outweigh the disgusting metal. :)

But thank you. That's very kind.

The good thing is that the LARGE majority of issues I've seen were all immediate. If it works coming out of the box, the chances weigh heavily in your favor. And I'm hoping that holds true for you, as it has with most others.

The dayum thing is VERY hard to ignore, when seated in front of us. I almost wish that I DIDN'T like it as much as I do. I think that my other mods might be planning a coup.

I love it - and have actually already forgotten the pain of getting to this point. However....not sure I can ever go through it again, fingers crossed it carries on working & I think a second one will have to wait until I can find a UK supplier. Hope yours is here (or close) @DPLongo22 :thumbs:

kates!!!!!!!!! SO happy for you! What great news (finally, eh?)!!

I'm hoping that we, too, shall soon forget the mule kicks of the past, and just enjoy our little X-sticks! Altho, I certainly don't wish to repeat this adventure ever again.

Truthfully, tho, ours is not over yet. Not til the DPL has that thing firmly planted in his hand, and working FLAWLESSLY!!!

I believe it's been shipped by donkey this time

Ha ha ha! :D

On July 4th, 2015, we ordered two Black XvoSticks. both with stainless steel buttons. At approximately 18:00 (ET) today, 4 months & 12 days later, our very long and overly documented journey finally came to an end. That is when my doorbell rang so I could sign a small (but tired) package that began swimming across the Atlantic Ocean 11 days ago.

It was fatigued & slightly dehydrated, but after some food, water & a bit of plate adjustment, it sprung back to life, with absolutely no signs of the issues that had plagued it, and required it to make FIVE trans-oceanic trips (plus two trans-continental ones).

In all seriousness, it felt different immediately. It feels "right". Finally.

Thank you, @LittleDonkey, for making things right, and thank you all for hanging in there with us through the never-to-be-forgotten (us) adventure.

It is home now, reunited with its brass brother, and all of us quite happy.

We hope that we were able to provide some valuable information, and at least a laugh or two, along the road. You guys rock.

K&D

Very cool DPLongo22, they both look sweet! I can't wait to get my hands on my black stainless.

I dropped them an e-mail yesterday asking for an update. This morning they responded and said it would ship by weeks end.

I'll keep you posted

Thanks, Marc. And the SS is a huge difference maker for me too. The brass one is stored in the back of my vape-stand now. Emergency use only (hopefully). Or when I just want to change things up. We ARE vapers, after all. ;)

I'll be watching this thread for your shipping update. :)

Hey DPL, glad it was sorted out finally :)

Kinda weird I've read all these issues from you guys, but my 2 have been great, right out of the box. Only the 510 plate always needs adjusting, as we've covered. My brother's Xvostick has been fine too.

Almost forgot: came here to report new mod from Chels the AzenoBox. Which is like a Xvostick with no atty insert, so like a box mod. Unfortunately they've gone again for the "liquid proof" design, so no spring-loaded 510 pin and you will have to adjust the base plate for your atty.

Thanks WiSK. And I used your method last night, so thanks for THAT too.

Even with the issues, both Kat and I have decided to keep both authentic ones we have, which is an indication of how much we like them. They're definitely something special.

Just want to throw in some thanks to all you guys. You've been so very supportive of this whole ordeal, and it means a lot to both DPL and me.

Not sure I'm quite crazed over that Azenobox. I'm with you, dru..... why?

And sadly, I could prolly not get terribly excited ordering again from Mini.

I, on the other hand, kind of see an attraction. You get the (awesome!) Xvo hand-feel and button placement, for considerably less cost. I'm not in the market for any topper-mods, but if I was, and it was offered by someone in the US with a reputable return policy, it would be a consideration.

The downside is that I wouldn't know that (hand-feel & button placement) if I didn't already have an Xvo, and I wonder if Xvo owners would buy a new topper-mod (after their Xvo).

It will definitely be interesting to see how this one flies.

mhh don't understand the Azenobox...why (apart from costs) would you buy it over the Xvostick...what is the benefit? But perhaps it is just about price.

My first thought was "Ooooohhhh a stick for my drippers"

If I were in the market for something like a Vapor Shark the Azenobox would be a strong competitor.

ETA: I would definitely have to wait until hearing how the 510 plate works though. On the stick it's not such a big deal as the seatbelt does well to cover any unsightly gaps but I dont think it has the range to accommodate the variety of 510 lengths just within my collection of attys ... I have my plate pretty much as high as it can go and I always have condensation on it - telling me the attys arent sitting flush.

I understood the need for the fixed pin in the stick, but on the AzBox I'm surprised Mini didn't opt for a new 510 design (although I suppose this way keeps manufacturing costs down). I think it might turn off a lot of potential buyers though ...
