scot, I love the Pinnacles, too. I have a feeling you'd be most happy with them.

Ha, nope, but I wouldn't be dropping a Bugatti as often as I drop my mods. I have already managed to put a small ding on my Xvo...

I shudder to think of the walls I might hit at those speeds.

A mod is made to look a but "utilized", at least for me. Those silicone things just drive me batty.

What about a nice wrap? JWraps will customize one for you, and it wouldn't look like you were carrying around a large condom-wrapped-something-or-other.

Just a thought. :)

I have a couple of jWraps for various mods, they're nice but don't protect the most dinged areas like the corners. I have an IPV D2 and the silicone sleeve that comes with it is nice. I barely notice it's there and the extra bit of protection it gives is welcome to this klutz. Heck, I fall UP my stairs several times a day and I quit drinking many moons ago.

HAHA! I did that just YESTERDAY! And I HATE it when I do that.

@skotsour I was waiting for it to come in to brag but since it's on it's way and you're asking ... I too am clumsy as _____ and wanted to protect my precious. I had one of of the handmade Parish leather holders made, from the pics online they look pretty nice ... I'll be sure to post some pics and impressions when it comes in (just left Russian postal customs).

But here's a little teaser pilfered from their website.

PS: They're customizable to add a belt loop or clip and they will even stamp the leather with a sketch you submit to them for a negotiated price

Yes, mine should have shipped almost 2 weeks ago, than they said it would ship last week, , then it was last sunday...but still no shipping.....I can understand if there is a delay because of production/quality issues or whatever.
I'd rather wait a bit than receive a rushed item...but please state that to us instead of keep making promises you can't keep......we'll understand (or at least I will ;))!
I hope it ships this weeks, but not holding my breath :|

But still very exited over this Mod...I think it looks great!!......Hope they fix the sticky button issue though (I also heard from someone local that also had the sticky button, seems not to be an isolated case)....
I'll remain waiting patiently for this beaty :D

I think they may have gotten a few more orders than anyone had been expecting, based on the shipping times and how quickly The Imitators jumped on the concept.

It's a VERY special device though, and I think you'll be pleased. They've already replied to me about the button issue, and I have every reason to believe they're addressing it. It's far from a universal problem, but yes, it's not isolated either. When you're truly breaking new ground though, which Mini clearly has with the XvoStick, there are bound to be a few glitches.

The good thing is that they're tremendously responsive, even during this holiest of holiday periods for them. Communications have far exceeded my own personal expectations, and I can't speak highly enough of them. I'm beginning to understand why they've built up such a loyal following now.

I just placed an order on Sunday for the XvoStick and I am so glad Google found this thread as it has been difficult to find reviews. I did receive a confirmation email so decided to respond and ask about the DNA40 chip as well as the button issues based on what I read. The response I received was: "Yes, we check the items before for the shipment. If there are any troubles we’ll replace the item for free. The problem with the button can be solved by some cleaning. XvoSticks have standard DNA40 chips by Evolv. New XvoStick, the one that will be shipped to you, have atty lock feature in them, old ones have a previous version of DNA40. Evolv give 1 year warranty for the chips, you can contact us or Evolv directly in case there are problems with electronic parts.” I don’t fiddle as it is not in my DNA40 so my guess would be to clean that button the mod needs to be taken apart — not going to happen.

I have never purchased anything of Chel’s however read he has a good reputation so hoping all goes well. BTW I was told it would ship in two weeks and another week for delivery so I am thinking it will be the early part the week of Oct. 12.

I patiently (ha ha) await the return of my Chvostick ("Seatbelt"). Meanwhile I'll take pleasure in waiting with you guys, and enjoying along with you (those lucky enuf to have one in their paws).

Come home, little Seatbelt, with a stickyless button! :D

My status just changed from acceptance for shipment to preparation of shipment.

Yes mine did to about 12 days ago, and than it changd back to "accepted for shipping" , so not sure what is going on. I asked them and they said they would ship it last week, but no such joy :(
Also find Chel's answer "the problem with the button can be solved with some cleaning" not very reassuring that they looked into it and solved it.

We'll just have to wait and see I guess

There's a brass-buttoned one, just waiting to be shared... ;)

I sent them the fix that @nevillebartos posted here in this thread, along with a link to the thread itself. They acknowledged it, and appeared to be very appreciative for the information. Well done, NB - thank YOU.
