YIKES! This Red authentic pic was taken from the motherships site. It looks really cool as in SICK! Are their any US Vendors selling this Red?

:)

I don't believe so, and I understand it was a very limited run (there were two left last Friday, and at least one of them sold). That's not to say that there won't be more.

The market for the "Topless" mods (I didn't come up with that name, but I like it) is continuing to grow (the "Stratum+ by VPL might bring some wood).

I believe that by this coming June, the options will be very large. In the meantime, keep an eye on VapinArt, and on Mini's site, for more reds (or purples, or whatever else they might come up with it. Interesting times we vape in.

I checked for you. (ha ha. I checked for ME!)

So far nothing, SB. If you find out anything, please do post!

And I agree, DPL-o-n-g-o......the Topless mods won't just be found on the beaches of Israel. (And thank you for the compliment on my silliness in names.) ;)

Hi folks - I just wanted to update on my sticky button - it really has seems to have broken in just fine - no issues since my original post (and @Katdarling asked in a PM so I wanted to share if anyone else was curious)

I do notice (and I've been intentionally doing this) that when I push the fire button with too much gusto the button "clicks" back much more audibly than with a soft touch.

Thanks, Drippa. Potentially good information for someone in the future. Much appreciated!

Nice :thumb: Very Nice indeed....

This is now my Work Mod/Rig and performing fantastically. Performed the "Wisk Procedure" right out of the Box. Loaded 3 different Attys and zero issues so far. Finally settled on mating it to an Erl K and all is peachy (except wish the EK was black-an OCD thing). Pretty sure the Batt Meter isn't functioning as it should (somewhat of a standard 50/50 issue with the way the Evolve 40 Chip functions) but no biggie to me. Always carry a spare Batt with any single 18650 "all day away" Device anyways.
Overall, digging the XVO. Thanks to all for convincing me to add this to the Armory

Glad you're liking it, Hitcat.

And yes, that battery meter thing has been my experience with every DNA device I've ever owned (a fair number). I look at is as a "loose estimate", and have never been a fan of them. In that area, the SX chips really beat the pants off the DNA ones. I wish...

They're fantastic devices when they're running on all cylinders. I'll be very unhappy if I ever find myself without one handy. Even with all the challenges we've had (which MUST be the absolute worst case scenarios), I'm thrilled with mine too.

Welcome to The Armory. Lock & load.

In case anyone wondering,,, EK is Ti-built (single 5/6 wrap 26 ga, @ 2.5mm I.D., slightly spaced. Qorax Method Wicking with good ol' Organic Hellifino Cotton) yielding @ 0.23R loaded with 70/30 Mech Sauce Medusa Milk.
XVO set at 390*F & 22W.
EK AFC Ring removed.
Very nice warm & robust flavor with good volume of Vapor production.

Is there a particular reason you didn't want the brass button version? I know that brass is a softer metal than stainless steel, but it is the only version that VapinArt carries and I'm thinking that I may want to get a "topless" mod to somewhat protect the new Plasma Tanks I am getting. What other mods have you heard of that may utilize this feature?

ETA: Has anyone had any issues with the Brass Buttons? The 510 is SS, correct?

I wonder what the coming 3-6 months will bring. It's going to be interesting, that's for sure.

Bring on the Topless babes!

Babies, I mean babies, you know, mods! o_O

Congrats, Hitcat!

I'm also not a fan of the (somewhat predictable) issue with the DNA40's battery meter. Like DPL, I rarely pay all that much attention to it. Charging up batts has become somewhat as routine as filling tanks and changing drip tips for me. Were I to go out for an extended outing with only the Xvo, I would definitely agree to bring along an extra battery. And an extra tank, and an extra drip tip. And bling. I have to have my bling. :D

Well according to tracking mine has been in Tel Aviv since Monday - still not delivered :( Still at least it's in Israel now so hopefully not too long before it's on its way back.

Still got my fingers crossed for you, kates. It makes typing uncomfortable, but cheerleading IS crucial. ;)

F2V, I also have one with the brass buttons. I don't really have any concern about the hardness/softness of the metal, but I sure can't stand the way that brass dulls and starts patina'ing. I don't love cleaning it, and I really prefer the look of the stainless steel ones. In terms of functionality, the brass works just as the stainless do.

Just as an aside, I notice the buttons are getting pretty bad looking already, but the battery cap looks pretty good still!

There are a few topless mods already on the market. Most of the nicer, higher end ones are not made in the US, just as the Xvo isn't. There are also some cheaper Chinese boxes out there, but I anticipate that we are absolutely entering the Topless phase of vaping! And huge thanks go to the insightful and creative mind at Billet Box Vapor for starting this wonderful, hidden (protected) tank revolution. :toast:

I'm fairly certain the 510 is SS. :)

Thank you, KatDarling - I will wait for the for the SS button version, then (I just want something that works without alot of work...if only Provape made something like this ;)). I noticed that even the mini-ecig website doesn't offer the SS buttons anymore, unless you are getting the combo with the Merkava RTA.

Pleasure, Freedom. I think with Mini, it really depends on their inventory, which they seem to change up frequently. I hope I didn't put a huge damper on the brass buttons for anyone. Some people will undoubtedly prefer them.

Can you even imagine an Xvo with Provape innards!!!!!!! WOAH. They'd FLY off the shelves!

Freedom, you asked what other mods I've heard of that are side by sides. There is a thread here that had slipped my (slippery) mind, and not to take away anything from the Xvoschtik, there ARE other devices (and more to come -- of that, I'm sure). dru started this collection thread, and it's a good one.
