F2V, that looks mighty thorough to me, but I think I'm gonna need a good nite's sleep and some morning caffeine to fully understand what you said. I'll give it a go when time permits!
Thank you - and if you do understand it would you care to explain it to me cause I'm not sure I do?

nothing but the color~~~

And the straight line across, instead of the jagged one. I'd NEVER have thought that would make a difference for me, but oh - it does. It REALLY does, in fact.

Again, this is strictly for ME. To some, it won't matter a bit, which is probably a good thing.

LOL!!!!

I think your quote wrong reply.

My Xvostick is Red, SS button version ,

you're talking about the light version or something else.... It's strange....

I misunderstood... My apologies.

And yes, I was referring to the "Light".

I just bought a Starbux franchise..... jus fer you, F2V.

Ok, I re-read (very carefully) what you said.

From what I see, this pic below is indicative of the way that Mini is NOW making the Xvos, as pictured in the description of the standard Xvostick.

I believe that because someone had some STICKY BUTTON probs (coughcough), Mini decided to change the design, and make an extra bit (that separate triangular bit) to house the buttons, and get to them more easily. That's how I'm seeing this.

We have the older style, on the right side pic. No button housing.

As far as the confusing part goes, I believe in this pic below that you had posted, it seems to me that yes, the screen is shown in approximately the area that it will be placed on the bottom of the device. I don't think they flip it, and that's my take simply because of the angle of that copper bit that's holding it on.

Now it makes sense to me! I really REALLY had to study your post and pics tho! And I opted to stay in tonite, instead of town painting to do this..... ;)

You're brave if you take this thing apart! No way, NO WAY Jose! Not moi!!!!

Pulling them apart is easy peasy @Katdarling

..............it's the putting them back together that's tricky. ;)

Yeah, after dismantling mine (no scorch marks BTW, just that rank burnt electronics smell lol) I have a whole new appreciation for how they manage to cram everything in there and still have it work..... most of the time anyway. :p

I like how, when they send you the instructions to do it, the last line is always:
"GOOD LUCK!"

Yeah, no. I sent mine back to Israel.

Haha yeah, if you ever have the intention of using it again dismantling it yourself is a risky proposition.
Mine was dead, so I had the DILLIGAF attitude.
Plenty of juice moisture over the chip etc, so I'm satisfied with my opinion on what shorted it out.

T'was fun while it lasted... I cheered myself up by getting on the Dryad mod list, and am now also chasing a second-hand one. Shiny-itis is back with vengeance!

Go get 'em, V!!!!!

Mine was still operational, so I "GAF". ;)

Amazingly, they've been working flawlessly since (162 airplane trips, 3000 years, etc., etc..)

And to close my Weekend That Wasn't, I decided to do something productive, that was not related to the company that employs me. With a Kat in tow (via phone, of course), I checked the plate on SS Xvo, as I had earlier with my brass one.

The SS has been in absolutely constant use since it arrived , however many weeks that's been (about a month, maybe?). Minimum usage has been eight hours, maximum has been "exclusively" (which has been often).

I am pleased to report that it was completely dry. Not a spec of liquid anywhere, unlike the brass (as per the pics I posted), which had some "wet", but nothing to concern me.

What does this mean? Well, I don't have even the slightest fargin' idea. But I do know that it's good news, and maybe the only good news I've had since Friday morning, so I am pleased.

Anyone up for dancin'? Let's boogie.

:rickroll:

With that, I bid you all adieu. May whatever it is that's in retrograde this weekend, spin its little tail around and get this world back to a place of comfort.

Nitol. :)

New shiney things available: ProXvoStick (26650) and MiniTank (cross between merkava and kanger subtank) :)

Interesting - thanks, WiSK. Too wide for my tastes, but I'm sure there are high wattage vapers who might need/appreciate it. Good to know, either way.
