Congrats, Karen! You deserve it. Merry Christmas.

Thank you so much! I LOVE YOU! and everyone else that voted for me! I am torn between the DIY kit and the Itaste VV V3 to replace the one I lost. I have to get the difference together but I think I can do it. I have a little time because of the Holidays so I can decide. Of course the minute I get instructions, I will be ready to order. LOL

Jman if there's some secret to being a moderate smoker you certainly have found it! I applaud you and hope you continue to do well in this endeavor. For me there is no moderation, not in my vocabulary, only addiction.

Here's my secret:

But shhhhhhhhh, you can't tell anyone....

I chain vape, and/or vape often. Takes care of cravings for me. As I said in earlier post, I don't get how 2-4 PAD smokers can go from that to never going to smoke again cause I had one puff of an eCig and realize I don't need to smoke anymore. Now, I kinda get that part, but what I don't get is if same person were to revert to smoking, say have 4 packs in 1 day, then why wouldn't the next day after that be just like it was when you first vaped???? Yeah, that's what I don't get.

IMO, vaping takes care of the cravings substantially and very noticeably. And it's not just me, but seems like vast majority of vapers on all forums I've ever visited.

Over this past summer, I was smoking much more, like 5 to 10 a day, but also noticeably vaping a lot less then.

IMO, to go back to smoking anywhere near what you did before you vaped, you have to want to not vape anymore or be out of vape supplies. If you do both (vape and smoke), then this sort of thread is for you, cause I see really no problem in doing both, as half of what you did when you were full on smoker isn't likely abusing smoking. Might not be exactly moderate smoking, but is in some gray area. Vape a little more often and/or up your nic, and chances are, I think very good, that you'll go into moderate smoking mode. I felt I was in that mode last year when I was having 1 to 3 a day. Now, I have about 1 to 3 a week. Both strike me as moderate smoking, but obviously one will seem better to those who feel you are always best if you just stop smoking altogether. I like having less than 5 a week, but see almost no issue with say a pack a week. And I mean unlikely you have health issues, and unlikely you beat yourself up for thinking you are abusing / can't quit.

Obviously with everything I'm conveying here YMMV, so take what I say with grain of salt. I just continue to have disdain for people who become ex-smokers and then adopt attitudes that are essentially anti-smoking and only wishing to present the cons of smoking, as if there isn't conceivably any pros to smoking cigarettes. I say there is, and I say you can have all the pros that come with vaping, plus be a moderate smoker. As one who's gone cold turkey before, I can very much understand why any smoker would prefer to be non-smoker rather than moderate smoker. But I too always used to think it was an addiction that couldn't be controlled nor moderated. Now, I'm enjoying the impossible / living the dream. Moderate smoking is a blasty blast.

Good morning everyone. Shari when you are up and about.
The one thing I miss most not having teeth are nuts, I have always loved nuts, I usually have a snack at night of peanut butter and graham crackers and I've wished I had other nut butters to switch out. I saw a recipe for homemade almond butter and thought I'd try it with walnuts, took quite a bit of fiddling to get the amount of canola oil right but I got it. Wow talk about something good, walnuts and canola oil, nothing else, in the Ninja, spread on graham crackers was way way good.
I've always used organic peanut butter, no sugar, as a snack since I am hypoglycemic but this makes for a nice change of pace, hmmmmmmm I wonder about trying it with pecans. :)

Congratulations Karen on your win. What did you win? Hope it was a good one.

Claudia, I went through a phase years ago trying the different nut butters; some were pretty good. Pecans sound like it would be worth a try here in the south with all the local pecans. Have not had any for years. I used to like apple butter too. Never had walnut butter, is it bitter?
