Hi everyone; I love this Topic! I picked up my ecig and didn't smoke for two days, I was going crazy, literally!!! Then I picked up 1 of the 3 cigs I had hidden away and smoked it! I felt a hell of a lot better and was not disappointed, because now I know that I did not smoke for 2 days on vape and I know that I can do it again and more!!! Thanks for reading:)

Good for you, and it's not the end of the world--it does get easier over time. I found the first week a little tough. Being able to choose to smoke if you want, rather than having to smoke, I think, is the best kind of freedom there is. Welcome to our little corner of ECF!

I have The Plume Room's Marlboro M Type, which has gotten a 5 star review from Spinfuel magazine. I do not like it by itself. It has a very, very ashy taste. But it is the only juice I have tried (over 80 now) that has left a taste in my mouth like after I smoke a cigarette, and that taste lingers. I drip it and add a couple of drops of a vanilla or maple pecan and I can vape it. Not a favorite, but I keep it for when I really feel like having a cigarette. The lingering ashy aftertaste is enough to get me past the "I have to have a cigarette" moments. It is not something I would vape on a regular basis.

Thanks for the info Shari, I will keep that one in mind if these others I just ordered don't do the trick. I seem to remember Sweet Caroline being very ashy tasting as well. Congratulations on 30 days!

Guess I need to do some tracking when I get home. Sent 5 or 6 packages out and haven't heard from anyone they got theirs

I pretty much use Paypal anymore for all my shipping needs so I can track with the built-in delivery confirmation.

GuitarSoloist, that Asian chef moonlights at our local Japanese steakhouse, every time he throws a shrimp it lands in someone's hair, or down their shirt! Sorry to hear about your shoes, though, that's tough. Don't hurt him too bad, mmmkay?

Ouch that sounds painful. I'm beginning to think there are union bylaws instructing them all to toss scalding hot food at patrons.

Quite proud of myself. My weakness has been being around other smokers and not smoking with them.

Had her try my spinner with the 24mg Gold on it. I even showed her how to puff on the spinner. She still coughed a lot. So far all three people who I have let try my rig are wussies and cough. And they smoke Marlboro Reds. After they try it they look at me like I am some strange kind of beast. I guess I may be.

I've been a little surprised that I didn't feel the cravings to smoke around smokers. That is of course as long as I have a PV in hand.

I remember coughing a lot at first when I initially made the switch to vaping. Vapor is different than smoke so lungs have to get used to inhaling it. All my smoker friends cough when they try it too.

Hey late night peeps. I work as a cashier at an upscale hotel restaurant and I vape whenever and where ever I can that a guest can't see me. Tonight I had 2 small eGos with bear claw and waffle in my pocket. So, we were kinda busy and I was helping the server by taking a drink order and the couple are asking me some questions about the menu and stuff, and the man tells me that it smells like breakfast in here. Then the lady says that she can smell it too, like maple syrup or something. LOL Well of course its me with two leaky clearos and stelthing a hit every chance I get. So I tell them that maybe someone spilled the syrup at breakfast this morning. Funny, I don't notice any lingering smell after vaping. But I sure do notice if someone is smoking.

I get people telling me that the vapor smells really good like peaches or something. I am ok with that, far, far better than reeking of smoke. :)

I actually just made it through a phone call without a smoke, that was difficult. I don't talk on the phone much but it is definitely a trigger, I have had my morning smoke, but still on target for my now normal 2 a day.

2 a day is pretty good! Triggers suck though! I automagically want to light up anytime I: wake up, have a meal, talk on the phone, drive, drink coffee or alcohol, play guitar. :(

I keep fiddling with the idea of going back to bed...no wee ones to worry about, but I always feel guilty for sleeping a lot. Wasting the day away and such. So what do I do? Waste the day anyway, on the interwebz!

I typically sleep in the day and and up all night so I don't have that problem. If I'm awake too early in the day things are not all right in my world. lol

BTW, I hope you start feeling better soon.

Welcome to our little corner of ECF. I was caught in a blizzard and stuck at home for 3 days without any cigarettes. I vaped the entire time and that was when I was realized that making a total switch from cigarettes to vaping was a realistic possibility.

Hi everyone. I think I screwed up my sleeping pattern for life. No matter what I do, even taking a sleeping pill, I can't fall asleep at night anymore. I am just going to have to go to bed an hour earlier each night and maybe in a week be normal again.

Ok, for ceremony time. What is good for all of you? I was thinking around 9pm est. That gives everyone time to put little ones down for the night and a good time to break out the adult beverages. What thinks you?

An old military trick, is to WAKE UP an hour earlier. Keep doing that each day until you are going to bed at whatever time you are aiming for. It's not fun, but it works.

Hi VilaBox. You are doing great. When I started vaping it took me a few days to step down from my 2 pad to not smoking. I vaped and smoked less each day. Some can start vaping and put the cigarettes down and never look back. A lot of people need to do both for a while. Glad you like vaping. Keep it up. Stop back in and visit us again.

Aaaaah. I am trying to do it backwards. No wonder it is not working. Will give that a try. Thanks.

Oh goody, I still have 1/2 an hour to get ready...

Don't you potentially run the risk of being up 24 hours doing it that way? I think that's my BF's problem--he sometimes will go a day or two without any sleep or maybe 1-2 hours max.

I have done the up for over 24 hours thing too many times since starting to vape 24mg. It used to be fun when I was in my 20s but it is no fun now. If I can't fall asleep all night at it is pushing noon, I will just stay up as a zombie until 7 or 8pm and then try to sleep. It is crazy. But when I finally sleep, I am out cold for many hours.

Just about time to clean those ashtrays or have something ready to break! Are your adult beverages made and in hand? :D
