I once saw that in Japan and I think Norway, they have full size human looking robots, I am waiting to get one. Imagine a butler or maid, to do all the mundane things. I wonder if it would be programmed easily, I'd like massages for my neck, back, feet and legs.

Teaching my 4 lb Chihuahua to bring him things. My 15 lb Chihuahua steals everything so he can't be trusted.

I want one of those. The robot, not the Chihuahua. It would be my slave.

i have a feeling this night's posts is gonna go pretty quick. They are going to think we all got drunk without them.

I know when I try to catch up I have no idea what page to click on. Then there will be a string of replies to something or other that I really want to know what they're talking about but I can never find it. And by that time, another 2 or 3 pages have backed up on me. It's like Lucy and the candy factory episode...

They don't care. They are hoping they will outlast you before your next hearing date. Don't you know, all the under 30yr olds are just waiting for all the Baby Boomers to die off because we ruined everything and are eating up all the money that won't be going to them and why should they pay for the oldsters. Like my ma told me, I broought you into this world, I can take you out. I don't remember having the same attitude as the young ones today. And most of them are probably playing their video games in mom's basement wondering when dinner and their laundry will be done.

My nephew inherits all I have, he plays PS3 like a concert pianist at Carnegie Hall.

As a part of the first generation who will never see the money that I pay out for SS, all I can reply to this is that I'm more than happy to keep SS for those who are already on it or are near to getting it. BUT, I don't want to pay into it any more, and would like to be able to put that money somewhere where I CAN get some benefit from it when I'm older.

I knew since I was 15 or 16 that there was no way my generation would ever see any $$ from SS.

Part of the problem is that there aren't enough of us to cover for all y'all. Don't want you to die off, but there's no money in these here coffers to give us what we paid into it when we retire.

That's it for my soapbox. Dont' expect any likes on it either...ugh.

Note to self...zip it.

They forget that we've paid into that fund for many years in order to collect. Now it's their turn to pay.

I am a pro plucker!

I go to my subscribed threads and click on the little icon that says Go To First New Post. Simple as pie.

Don't ask me why or where on here I found it, but sometime in the past week I watched a 2 1/2 minute video of a cat on a roomba, with a baby duck following it and a dog hanging out watching the whole thing and getting up and moving out of the way once in a while. Why did I watch the whole thing. I really could not tell you, but I was oddly entranced by it. Then I started thinking, who would have all this in their house for this video to be taken? Why? Such are the mysteries of life.

I agree with you. I am 57 and I bet I don't see it either. All they have to do is raise the cap on the $ amount of income you have to pay on. If you had to pay SS and MC on your first $500K there would be enough for the next two generations. Cutting it off at what, $115K is nuts. And stopping it and cutting benes is not the solution. I will stop now.

As a part of the first generation who will never see the money that I pay out for SS, all I can reply to this is that I'm more than happy to keep SS for those who are already on it or are near to getting it. That does not sound like something I would watch, depending who is in it. DH is very into horror movies, I won't watch them anymore, they creep me out and I can't sleep (ha, ha). I keep thinking something is in back of me, everything startles me. Not worth it. And most of them aren't that good. Although, if Johnny Depp is in it, I will watch it. Laughed a lot with Dark Shadows.

It's not that kind of a movie. It's kind of a psychological documentry but with a doozy of a twist. The director invites these people to make a movie, whatever they want, to tell their story of a genocide that happened in the 60's and they are happy to do it. So there's westerns, film noir, broadway, etc. mixed in. None of those responsible have ever been held accountable for what happened and instead, became hero's, celebrated, given positions of power and wealth. They view corruption as a source of pride and they have no reason to hide it. It's surreal, charming and hard to believe. Stephen King couldn't have written something so chilling. The movie is a stroke of genius.
