Just got in from work. Glad to see some of you are still awake. Being west coast, my late is some peoples early morning. I know and agree with everything you guys have said. Hi my name is Vicki and I'm a codependent. I really appreciate being able to vent here. I just thought it sounded so cold to say that it was a relief to have him out the house, when he is in the hospital with a serious condition, that I had to kinda explain why that was the case. As I mentioned a while back we are divorced, and were apart for some time. He's like herpes, he may go away for a while, but he always comes back. He did improve a lot to earn his way back in to my good graces. I know he loves me and would give his life if it would save me, but I just can't count on him to be smart with money or practice delayed gratification. He is not evil, more just stupid and unlucky. Also, I have to look at my part in it. There were red flags when we first met and fell in love. I ignored them. I choose to marry him and have kids with him. No one forced my hand. As for the kids, they are in high school now, and we separated when they were very young. Anyway, still haven't smoked despite the added stress, so yay.

Time now for you concentrate on yourself and the kids. Hopefully they will love and support you in whatever decision you have to make with Jason. Hopefully your family (mom and dad, siblings) will also rally around and support you and give you the love and care you need right now.

I'm glad you feel comfortable enough with us to vent. Come and talk with us anytime. We're in your corner.

Hi Karen,

Just tried to PM you, and got:

The following errors occurred with your submission
Karen N Daytona has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.

Should we wait for after Halloween, so you can clear out the cobwebs?

(Or, as I suspect, there's some other problem......)

Edit: I blame EvilZoe.

Thanks FQ! lol, yep "the boy" is my son (two kids, he's my oldest and then my daughter who's a senior this year) and he got the job! Now to figure out how to get him to work since he doesn't drive nor have a license. The only plus is that it's on my way to work, minus is that our schedules are different. But will think of something, even if it's for him to be there 8 hrs early for his shift ;)

Both of mine have no desire to even study for their permits  Maybe this will give both of them the incentive to learn.

Good afternoon and happy Halloween. This is my favorite holiday, but I'm just not feeling it this year. All my tanks went yuck at the same time so I've been busy washing and priming and filling. Had a long nap with my little kitty who is not so little any more. He loves to lay on my hair and purr. It's so sweet. I need to get ready soon and go take my son to counseling and get a hair cut and to Costco. Hope everyone is having a great day.

FQ hope your day gets better :toast: and :D Halloween to everyone. got my candy ready for tonight, thxs lox for the ideal you gave me, made a nice cran-grape graham cheesecake & cran-lemon cream cake. FQ i dont know about the orange n cream made it into a 10% solution of 100ml of juice working it now but it was idk how to put it seems i had to shake the 10ml bottle it came in before adding it it was seperating. just alittle info as idk why its doing it maybe someone can tell me

JJ,

I'd like some advice about using an ultrasonic cleaner to age juice.

I have a nice (perhaps a bit old) one that I've been using to clean atty's. Haven't tried to use it for steeping, although I hear many people do.

So here's my questions, in your opinion:

How long do you US a juice?
Do you think it helps?
Does it degrade the long-term life of the juice?
Can you see any difference (i.e. color change) after using ultrasound on the juice?
Do you do it with the tops on, or topless?

(Just looking for some pointers, the "search" on ECF is a PITA on stuff like this!)

1. ok 1st thing is i think the US cleaner all it does is heats up the mix to a somewhat more liquidier state, to fuse the flavors more idk but thats what i heard.
2. it does somewhat to some degree, some say it ages the juices alot faster. i had been able to vape any juice i make within 2 days after mixing them so maybe, plasebo effect maybe lol
3. no only because a 60ml bottle of jucie only lasts me about 13 - 18 days so its not sitting for long
4. depends, to me color doesnt change until i add nicotine, and have sunlight hitting it, when i had my mixes in a amber bottle the color doesnt change that much jmho
5.i mix new mixes in a 150ml flask, with a cheesecloth over the top so no contamients get in another thing something i do

*edit* remember its all comes down to personal preference, everyone is different, what is ready for me might not be so for you. when i make a mix, after two 30min cycles i let sit for 24 - 36hrs in the flask before i transfer it to a bottle.

Happy Halloween everyone, I have another crazy migraine but at least I don't have to go out anymore today so I'm looking on the bright side. :)

I've been hearing about this a lot from other parents. I suspect at least some of it has to do with "Mom's Taxi Service" -- kids these days are lucky in that Mom will take them almost anywhere. Back when I was a kid, you could ask, you could beg, and you MIGHT (if you were lucky) get a ride somewhere. Just as often though kids were told to walk, take public transport, or call a friend for a ride.
Back then, it was also a mark of being more grown-up when one had a driver's license, and especially their own car. I don't see that so much with kids now -- they seem to be Mehhh on the whole thing.

I WISH my daughter had been more Mehhh on it when she was 16 -- that dang kid scared the holy chit out of me with her driving!!! And that was while we were still practicing in parking lots (she almost plowed down an old lady one day). I finally had to tell her that there was not enough Valium manufactured for me to continue her driving lessons, and that she'd have to go to a school.
