Lox, want to let you know I just received your package in the mail today. It is here. I probably won't be able to sample all right away.

Our closest friend, neighbor, who had cancer, just died about an hour ago. He did not die from the cancer, but from septic shock from an infection he got when the doctors did a procedure on him. This is a shock to all and no one was prepared for this outcome. So I may not be around for a bit. Depends on how I feel. Right now, not too talkative.

Thank you and I will try the goodies when I can appreciate the experience, hopefully soon.
Oh Shari I'm so sorry to hear this. :(
I wish there was something I could say or do to help, but I do have broad shoulders to cry on.

I am no Shari. This is my first experience with NET. I wasn't dying for a cig, guess why? ;) Its interesting it tastes much more like a cigarette. It may resemble a Winston? Is it a bit salty? Not Winston, I didn't like those. Hmmmm not Marlboro?????? Different than Wta but more satifying than juice. Ok, you tell me.

Everyone I've sent it to says that. I honestly don't know what's in it. Several people have had good luck quitting with it. I'm assuming its the water that's extracting whatever is making it like that. All I know is I've tried quite a few nets and mine tastes far better.

I will try to touch on some of the stuff being discussed here. Bear with me as I've (again) been up since yesterday with a migraine that just won't quit.

B&M's: (Not to be confused with BM's even though they sometimes smell alike.) The ones I have been too were way overpriced and all around clueless about anything besides njoy kits and chinese juice. There is a larger one some distance away that has a good online presence but again price and distance is not really convenient for me. But if you've got a good store near you and like the service... vape on.

Cartomizers: I am rather fond of cartomizers. They were cutting edge technology back in the (booming voice) "Dawn of vaping... Vaping...vaping." All seriousness aside, I liked the flavor on my old KR808's, I seem to remember them tasting better than most of the clearo's I have now. I just realized that I don't have any cartomizers, so I will have to get some boge's and take the pepsi challenge.

Carto-tanks: Don't have em', but am thinking about them. With punching, and feeding, and airflow, juice viscosity, ad naseum I can see how they might be fiddly.

Tanks: Digging my Protanks, I like the airy draw, flavor, and how easy they are on the go, when I am busy, or just plain lazy. Being able to easily recoil the heads is a huge plus.

RDA's: My current vape of choice when I am at home. Great flavor, great vapor, but have to manually add 3-5 drops every so often while trying to avoid the dreaded dry-hit-of-pure-nastiyness. Currently using a Phoenix v3 clone, just ordered a couple more and some igo-L clones too.

And on the smoking front today, it's been bad. Like 1/2 a pack bad, easily double what I usually smoke and I've yet to sleep. It seems that vaping effects my migraines worse than cigarettes do. Tomorrow is another day.

Sorry for your loss Shari.

Thought I'd post up in here and say "Hi!" to the others who are vaping and still stuck on the stinkies. I smoke maybe 3 or 4 on my days off from work and on days I work can be anywhere from 6-10 :( I was doing great, cigarette free for over 6 weeks then tried dropping nic from 18mg to 12mg and work got a little stressful and the cigarettes came back in my life and have been for a couple months now. Bought a Provari hoping that would make me totally switch back to vaping 100% but no luck. Back on the 18mg and thinking of maybe trying some 24mg.

When I first started I used 24mg but got headaches/sick feeling so I dropped to 18 and it was fine for me. A little discouraged since I really need to quit smoking, have a blood condition that makes me prone to blood clots (dealing with one now in my right leg) but I just can't get that confidence back that I had back in February and don't understand why. I know I can do it but this time I'm -afraid?- to :(

*Edit: Just thinking about how I've gotten myself swamped down with an RBA, several cartotanks, Vivi Nova, Protank, an eVic, mechanical mod...maybe I have just got to much stuff and it is seeming a little daunting to me and not knowing what I really want to use. I love the cartotanks but they don't take chain vaping that well (use a 50/50 mix with 2 holes) and they burn out in a matter of 2 days or so. Protank and Vivi Nova are good but the awful heat here in Texas means flooding when going from indoors to outside and it's a PITA. The RBA (AGA-T+) is nice when I have it set up and working good but it never seems to stay working good for long and I don't feel comfortable taking it on the go with me. Maybe I'll give 3 holes in the cartos a shot :glare:

Not really looking for pity, just wanted to throw this out there and show that there are more of us than we think :p Also sorry for such a long post.

I'm proud to say that in two weeks I only slipped up one day and that was day I had to put down my cat of 18 yrs. I had gone 5 days prior to that and it's been a week since that slip up. I don't even crave them anymore. I never thought I'd be able to say that.
Best of luck to all still struggling. It gets easier with time.

    Welcome Razor and Gaspar!

Razor: I understand where you are at. With a wide array of gear and situations it's hard to find what will work best for you. I try to use the KISS principle. If I am out or gone all day like at work, I am using a tank system like protank/evods along with either my zmax, or 1100mah ego twists. The tanks don't take up much room, hold a lot of liquid and I can take a 2-3 full ones with me. Easy to change and use. Others I've seen have opted for a eroll setup in that type of situation as well.

At home I drip, mostly. Gear for me is situation dependent.

There is a definite psychological addiction to smoking. You may not be ready to give them up all together right now. But next week, or next month you might feel different. I try not to beat myself over the ones I do smoke, because any cigarettes that I don't smoke make a positive impact on my health. Hang in there. :)

Gaspar: I'm glad making the switch is going well for you. I'm sorry about your cat. My 16 year old dog I've had since a puppy is starting to have serious issues. I'm dreading having to put her down but it's something I'm going to have to deal with soon.

Thanks Gtr, I figure the few a day I have isn't a huge concern for the most part and like you said, I will know when I am ready. Just like when I went the 6 weeks or so, I just didn't buy anymore after that pack was finished. I didn't throw away a half empty pack but simply didn't go buy more. Didnt have to force myself to quit it just happened :). I know that will be the case again, I find I prefer the e-cig over cigarettes but the cigarettes are in a sense a security blanket if you want to call them that o_O lol

    Welcome Razor,

One thing you'll find here is that we've all been there and totally get it! I've been there twice now, still in it but hopefully soon (like you) I'll put them down for good.

I keep planning to take a trip to my local Plaid Pantry to pick up some Swedish Snus, but my attachment to the cigs is keeping me from doing it. Once my pack runs out (probably tomorrow) I'll pick some up and see if snus and vaping does the trick.

Hang around for a bit--everyone here is happy to have you. :)

Thanks Dale! I love how everyone on this list looks after each other!

So USPS can apparently time travel now :glare:

I've been suspecting something of the sort ... there also seems to be a USPS time-loop in San Francisco -- Items are processed, depart, are processed again, depart again ... and it can keep reoccurring for days.

OK I've gotten everything read....I think.
Good afternoon everyone, it was still morning when I started. LOL

Interesting morning here, my vapemail came and I now have an eRoll for when I'm out and about. Between playing with that and putting away the new juices from MBV I simply forgot my morning smoke. YAY!!!!! I had my last one at about 7 P.M. yesterday and so far vaping is satisfying me completely today. Now I need to go make another order for atty heads, changed out my first two last night on the clearomizers. I'm starting to really like my two Vision V fate tanks and preparing to order a 3.5, the two I have are 2.0s and a little tricky to fill and pretty impossible to see how much juice is left when it gets low.

I did actually think about the morning smoke for a few minutes but since that requires either going outside or in the garage and standing there while I smoke I decided I'd rather play with the new toy and now I don't really want it.

    WTG!!!

I hate going to the vape shop around here. Overpriced, staff not very helpful, "specialize" in Joye eGo products, sub-par juice, long lines, parking nightmares. The great one, VapingZone, is a longer drive, parking not so bad but very near a huge mall so traffic a nightmare, staff pretty knowledgable but busy and long long lines. The cool thing, you can order online and pick up there, so no need to actually stand in the line unless you need help or something explained to you. They do sell mods, batteries, etc. as well as DIY flavorings and nic/pg/vg/bottles so a little broader in terms of service, but still hate going in there.

Give me my jammies, the mouse, and an hour, I can bargain hunt with the best of them. If I need something RIGHT NOW then I go to the shop and cry later when I see what I bought for 1/3 to 1/2 the price I paid.

Claudia, not to unduly influence your decision, just putting it out there.

The relationships I've built with the clerks at my local B&M are almost priceless. Awesome people. I take my kids in when I go (it's a family friendly place) and my girls bring them drawings and notes and stuff :) They love it. It's worth paying the higher prices sometimes, for me at least, to get that personal interaction and face-to-face explanation and demonstration. I've paid waaaay more for my couple of mods than I would have through fasttech, but it was worth it to get the support I get at my B&M.

That bites FQ! Like Notorious, my local B&M is fantastic! I always try to go when I have a little extra time to hang and try some new flavors and chat for a bit -- they are just that friendly. Heck, I've even taken one of my dogs in there to visit--and I have HUGE dogs! Right now I can't afford to buy all my equipment there, but I do buy the majority of my juice there.

This is why I'm going to start DIY. My wife wants me to turn it into a business, but I don't know about all that. I'd be content to just make quality juice for myself, my wife, and my friends.

Just don't forget how you're going to send us all delicious samples when you get all rich and famous from your DIY'ing.

Everyone I've sent it to says that. I honestly don't know what's in it. Several people have had good luck quitting with it. I'm assuming its the water that's extracting whatever is making it like that. All I know is I've tried quite a few nets and mine tastes far better.

Are you doing your extractions at a different phase with the tobacco? The ones I've tried tasted so grassy that it tastes as if they are making the extractions from the green plant it's self, or from not fully cured tobacco.
When I was about 10 or so a friend and I snuck and rolled up a bunch of grass/weeds in paper and tried to smoke it (we figured if tobacco was a plant this couldn't taste much different) ... omg, it was beyond disgusting. The first NET I tried was a flash back to that. Or, it could just be that I have weird taste buds.
