Battered and fried with a dipping sauce is the only way I've ever had it. I think one of my favorites though is fresh caught Large Mouth Bass filet rub with a bit of olive oil sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning and grill. Ok now I'm getting hungry. lol. I'm going to have to see what I can do to get him to stop working on the race car long enough to get the Bass boat running so we can get back on the river and catch some Large Mouth.

Sounds kinda like rattlesnake. I sorta missed out on that one too.
I have had my share of venison, bear, bison.
Bear stew, ewwww. !/2 is the nastiest greasy lard.
Worse yet, LUDAFISK!

"Give me Medicare - and they are older and sicker and use medical standards. Go figure."

The Reply and Reply With Quote aren't working atm but I thought I would chime in here based on the above. First, most everyone under retirement age resent the people who receive Medicare and Social Security mostly based on the administration's insistance on calling them "entitlement programs" which is a big fat pile of steaming horse hockey. I worked every day, every month and every year for 53 years and made mandatory contributions to both programs from my paycheck so I earned both!

With the pitiful monthly check I receive monthly for my "entitlement" I pay for Medicare Part A, Medicare Part B, Medicare Part D (drugs) and an outside insurance to cover what MC won't pay. The drug coverage is ridiculous. The formulary changes constantly and what one paid $7 bucks for one month will be reclassifiede next month and will cost $150.

Because of the atrocious plan known as Obamacare which has reduced payments to doctors and hospitals, my long-term doc quit his practice to become a "hospitalist" (regular paycheck, no call, 9 to 5 everyday). I found a second doc I liked OK and after 4 visits he fired me because I wouldn't take all the "wellness" tests now required. So I now have a 3rd doc who takes a few MC patients on occasion whose general attitude would make Boddy McFerren want to serenade him personally with Don't Worry Be Happy meaning that he is overly laid back and not too interested in his patients.

When you reach my age (75) if you have the ultimate misfortune to develop things like cancer, kidney disease or any other really serious health problems you have no expectation of serious treatment because treatment for those things are considered a waste of time and money which is better spent on the "young". You will be given palleative treatment until you die at which time the hospital will put you on a Viking ship, set fire to it, launch it into the ocean and remind your friends, family and other loved ones what a good and and fulfilling life you lived. I don't resent Medicare. I do resent politicans wanting to claim it's an entittlement program which it's not. I also resent wall street wanting to get their greedy fingers on SS, another not an entittlement program. Medicare traditional can do a lot better than these private insurance plans for a lot less. I'm pissy single payer (private docs) - streamlining administration for a known result - was "taken off the table" without debate. Obama was for single payer and a reason I voted for him. This is Congress, i.e. Romneycare. I'm also pissy about misinformation.

Your rants fine. I have a hunch much more gets political and that's a shame. Everyone is affected by healthcare and we should be able to debate known facts.

Jealous of the ballons and Lox's new HK toys! I did get my wick finally, now need to rebuild 5,380 evod and t3 heads this weekend. Also have a deep dark desire for a richer thicker RY4 so will be playing with that as well. Lox, care to share your recipe? I made an RY7 last weekend, but it's not what I'm after.

Carry on! BBL. . .
