Hello and g'morning all. Id offer the coffee but eww, even online. Tea, soda, juice? Or if you're a night shifter ready for bed like me there are other palatable options available.

Bout half a pack in 5 hours of car isn't bad, right? It's not helping that my teeth are deciding to remind me that I really did need to see that oral surgeon I managed to freak out on badly enough to get "all of you (us/I'm assuming my family?)" kicked out of permanently. They hurt and need attention but that whole mess was on top of phobias to start with. Plus uninsured. Basically a big cluster of not gonna happen soon. Ugh.

so yeah. I'm calling half a pack good for the morning. Take the boy to school here in about thirty then nap for a while before indulging the little one for the afternoon. its her birthday and I did promise cake and watermelon

Ending tired rambling now but do have a good morning. Hopefully I will nap soon and not see any of you til at least noon.

Hi to all you chatty people. ;)

I don't know when I would be able to call myself a non-smoker. I've been a smoker for so many years it's part of my mind set and how I see myself. I still can't imagine me being a non-smoker.
As far as I'm concerned You are a non-smoker :)
Well, she's a reformed smoker, quit through the power of prayer and sheer guts, blah blah blah. She prays daily for me to be delivered from the urge to smoke. Ha, that's probably why I was finally able to quit!!!

Yeah, I love her, she was my Sunday School teacher when I was 10, we've been living a couple streets away from each other and working at the same office for years now, so we started sharing gas costs and carpooling about 3 years ago. Lemme tell ya, it's annoying as hell!!
Now see ... it's people like that that give us a bad reputation:(
Why condemn me for smoking when you have your own "little addictions"?:grr:
Saying just pray about it & you'll never want another one:facepalm: It doesn't work for everybody!

    Good morning everyone :)

Ok long ramble story coming. But I think the background info is needed to make the point.

So when I first started vaping I got a 306 cig alike kit (egos weren't invented yet). I quit smoking 3 days later. But after awhile as I wasn't getting enough vapor so I began my quest for more power. Started making box mods, got a chuck (could do 7.4) then egos and LR atties came out. The higher voltage was great. I then got a buzz and figured out 5V was the sweet spot. I picked up several 5V regulated vyprs and a GLV. However I also started moving away from tobacco and into the sweeter juices and that's when the problems started. Quite a few tasted bad at the higher Voltage - I think because the sugars burn. I also didn't like the TH so i lowered my nic to 8-12mgs. I also switched back to egos (and smoking) and Jazz got me a provari so I could turn DOWN the voltage. While I thought the flavors were better the vapor itself was unsatisfying. I continued to smoke and vape both. Then I upped my nic to the 18-24 range but still wasn't satisfied. Tried wta and still just wasn't getting the leffects I was looking for.
I think I've found the solution. It's not the volts - it's the watts. Here's why. As I said and many of you may have the same issue sweeter stuff sucks at high voltage - but turning it down you lose the vapor and the warmth. Now I thought I didn't like warm vapor but turns out I love the warmth not the burnt. On this new itaste I just got with the voltage at 3.7 and the watts at 9.5 I'm getting great lung filling low TH WARM vapor. At 4.0 and 9.5 it's incredible. While I still don't intend to quit completely (IBD health reasons) I don't think I'd have the slightest problem quitting with this set-up.
Sorry for writing the not so great American novel but maybe it will help some of you :)

Hey, it's funny but not at the same time. My DH looks at it like I am still smoking. He has got himself convinced he is getting dizzy and lightheaded around me when I vape. It is really bad. He is convincing himself of this and no amount of talking can convince him otherwise so far. How do you get around that one?

I am wondering if he is feeling the pg and not the nic........

I have not tried those things in the 20 years we are together so it would mean nothing to him. His family are not smokers either so there's no real frame of reference, except for the guys he play pool with on his league at the bar. And I would not want him to lump me in with them anyways..

Since he never smoked in his life, his only real frame of reference is me. I hear him brag how long it's been since I had a cigarette. Part of it is I think he just likes pulling my chain sometimes. Next time he pulls the dizzy and lightheaded thing, I think I may try insisting I take him to the ER. Let's see how well that goes over. I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. Maybe I will start counting his beers.

I just prefer no drama. We don't fight, I think he gets lonely because I am out in the sunroom vaping and talking on here and not sitting watching inane TV shows with him in the evening. So I will schedule more time with him so he doesn't feel neglected. I think he is afraid I am getting addicted to the vaping and he doesn't understand it. He is afraid it will be as bad as the cigarettes. It just needs time for him to see I am starting to feel a little better.

The separation is a big part of the problem. Bill has asked me to go back to smoking in the house so we are together more. My answer is absolutely not. I am not willing to question my part in any future relapse. I would say have him join you BUT....

Yep. I've read where everyone says watts don't matter so I never bothered with it. I even have a brand new kick I never used. But IMO they most definitely make a difference. Jazz agrees. Crank up the watts :thumb:

This is great info. I was under the impression that VW setting negated voltage settings. The wattage is the actual power delivery circulating through the coil. Voltage - Resistance = Wattage. Something like that. So I thought the point of a VW device was to set the wattage you want, and the device would automatically adjust the voltage depending on the resistance you put on (clearo/carto/atty). I didn't realize you could set both voltage and wattage and have one not negate the other. That's awesome!

All I know is I have the volts at 3.7 and the watts and 9.5 with a 2.4 I06 and I'm getting clouds of warm tasty vapor without monster TH or burnt flavor. If I turn the watts down the vapor cools and wains.
Like my welding teacher told me once - just weld the damn thing and worry about theory and why after the jobs done :p
