Lox gets dancing banana's for breakfast!!  Congrats on finding your sweet spot!

Yes I'm confused about setting your voltage and then setting your watts, on my vamo I can set either, but if I adjust volts it takes watts out of the picture. If I adjust watts, it takes volts out. . .

Anyway, it's great that you found something you like!! I like my watts low, below 7 or the evod/t3 tastes burnt. I keep thinking I'll look for another delivery device so I can use higher wattage, then I think "WHY???"

Oh, good morning everyone! Cute kitty coffee today, and I need another cup. This is the last day of the workweek for me, I'm off tomorrow to take both girls to dental appointments and finish school shopping, so I really need my A-game here today. Unfortunately, it's still at home sleeping!!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

FQ - Not sure I understand
The settings don't stay where you put them? I can leave volts at 3.7 and set watts at 9.5. If I set volts at 5 and set watts at 3-4 burnt juice.

Keep in mind I've never seen an Itaste in person, but on the vamo you get one screen and 2 buttons to toggle between vv/vw. If you push the button to get at the volts setting, it defaults to 3.0v. You can set it up to 6.0v. BUT, when you push the button to go to watts setting, volts defaults back to 3.0 the next time you check it.

That's my understanding too FQ. The watts is supposed to adjust the volts depending on the atomizer that's being used. But for some reason changing the watts on the itaste is giving a vastly different vape than expected. If I had my juice turned up to 4.5 volts it would be burnt - yet putting the itaste on 9.0 watts is warming it up without burning it. As the atomizer head is 2.4 is stands to reason the watts would adjust the volts to about 4.5 or so....I really don't understand how this juice isn't getting burnt.

I really couldn't understand why people were going nuts over wattage - as it just supposed to automatically adjust the volts dependent upon the atomizer head....but now I see why they're being nuts. It's different somehow.

The itaste MVP is currently only volts - but by the end of the year the MVP should be available as VV/VW :)

I love my MVP for it's battery life (2600 mah)

I've had an MVP for a couple of weeks now. Love it. Solid build, good chip set, great button throw, good feel. Battery lasts me about 2 full days.

That's part of why I'm leaning toward the SVD. My experience with Innoken has been GREAT so far.

But do you have it set on watts or volts? If it is on watts the volts should be irrelevant and vice versa? No?

I know Lox is using the IO6's that came with the Itaste - I haven't tried those yet - I wasn't that impressed with the IO10's that came with the MVP - I hate the tilt and twirl :glare: or how quickly a juice can gunk up those coils. I do like the Bauway CE8 - which doesn't always have good reviews - don't know why they haven't taken off - the wick is stainless mesh - it wicks well and doesn't gunk up as quickly as silica. There are 4 feed holes - I didn't watch the reviews - I only know they work for me :p - easy to fill too - same size as most other clearos out there.

Notorious, I think Lox and I just discovered that the Itaste is better than the Vamo! Of course that makes me want one now. . .:D

Its only 800 mah and only goes down to 6watts. What wattage do you vape on. I vape lower than 6 so bill has mine.......

That's the way it's supposed to be...maybe the watts setting more finely tunes the volts :?: Maybe the volts become variable as you vape - turning them up or down mid-vape as the unit warms up - stopping short of burning the juice....idk ...I just know it's different.

I have the Sigelei Zmax telescopic and the mini, both are VV/VW. I have only ever used watts and that's why I bought them in the first place. I don't want to have to check my resistance and do math every time I change delivery devices, which is many times a day. If I did that I would have little time left to vape. ;) Personally, I don't see why anyone would prefer volts over watts.

Congrats on finding something you're enjoying, Lox, and...good morning everyone. :D

That has to be what it's doing. On the Vamo the magic happens when you hit the fire button, and I'm assuming whatever voltage you get at the beginning holds constant until you let go of the fire button. I do not even attempt to understand these things, but I do read a lot about them.

Lori, I usually stick between 5 and 6 watts, and I'm noticing the burnt taste a lot. If I turn watts down to 3-4 I feel like I get NO vapor. I keep blaming it on my evod/t3 heads (they range from 1.8 to 2.5 ohms) like maybe the Vamo just doesn't play well with them. Heck, I really am clueless.

At any rate, Lori, see if you can get that itaste back from Bill and try it at 6 watts to see what happens!

*Hello, Thaya! Hope you're having a great day!

I don't know exactly. But yes you can set volts and it stays put regardless of where you set the watts. Changing one doesn't change the other. Should it change? Will I blow my face off? Will the Eagles ever win the super bowl? I don't know
But I'm thinking like this - my lamp is plugged in to a 115V outlet - if I put a 15 watt bulb in or a 200 watt bulb in - its still drawing 115V just using more electricity and producing brighter light with 200 watts. I'm assuming its the same - my battery will die quicker at 9 watts than at 3 watts but its still can't draw more volts than I give it. You can't plug a 220 oven into a 115 outlet because it can't pull more volts than are available - does that make sense?

Oh that's regulated voltage - the Provari provides that (as do other higher end devices) - pulse width modulation......another make-your- head-spin-like-Linda-Blair explanation.
