I'm still not smoking. But I did have Pepsi tonight. You can't see that, can you?

Does cane sugar do the exact same thing to blood sugar as corn syrup? Cuz I'm thinking maybe I should get you a sodastream for your birthday. You can have your "pepsi" without all the corn syrup and save a little money to boot.

PINTS!? That's a lot of juice lady. They must be real good. Or are you stocking up for the end of the world? I would take that ride to the B&M and do some serious tasting. You lucky lady.

Sounds like you had a fun day. You have all kinds of new horizons opening up. Sounds like DH had a good day too. Finally got the car on the track. Good.

I'm back, lol. Actually been back for a couple of hours but we had to eat something, feed dogs and give them some lap time after leaving them so cruelly for several hours. I drove all the way to the track and back, farther than I've driven in a few years. We have to wait for a month to find out how he does cause the rain came before first round, but he did get to make several time runs and the car is running great.

Happy Birthday Dale!

I still haven't smoked, not even at the track which is a place I normally smoke a LOT

The three juices I ordered from Mountain Oak Vapors arrived this morning and they are quite good. I got Shangri-la which is a peach, leechee fruit that is the peachiest peach I've tried yet, I love it, Cinnamon twist which is also very good, tastes like a nice pastry with a hint of cinnamon, and Carmel Movaccio, not sure of the spelling but it's a cappuccino type and very nice. I'm thinking of finding out if they come in pints. I'm going to have to make the drive to their B&M and do a bit of tasting, so far I'm impressed.

Still thinking about you and Bill, Lori. HUGS!

Unfortunately, any kind of sugar works the same on blood sugar. As a matter of fact, any kink of carbs work the same. Things like bread, rice, potatoes, noodles and pasta turn straight to sugar in a diabetic's bloodstream.

You can still get me a gift, though. :D

But the Soda Stream would work for anyone to make carbonated water to make your own sodas with sugar free syrups and stevia or splenda. There may be a cheaper way to make carbonated water, I have not done a search on it. If anyone wants, I have recipes for Italian sodas and Italian cream sodas. It is the soda equivalent of mixing your own juices, kinda. But you have to buy the flavor syrups and that can get pricey if you get into it.

Now that you mention it, my BF has an associate who has a SodaStream drink bar set up at his house to make all kinds of drinks. He has about 20 different Italian syrups (like the kind at coffee houses) for flavors, and a lot of them are sweetened with Xylitol. I forgot that you could do that instead of buying the little flavor bottles...

Thaya, you may be getting a gift...

Did I mention that my birthday is tomorrow? Probably because it's not. You can't see that, can you?
