I agree with you. I do not think I would be having it anywhere as easy as I am if I had not found my adv. I have a couple other tobacco juices that I like and vape for several hours at a time, but my adv is my dependable enjoyable juice. It satisfies me in a way that the others do not. I may be different than a lot of other vapers because I do not like switching up flavors all day long. I like something I can enjoy for days at a time.

Maybe that is the 45 year smoker in me. I do not know. I am just not a big flavor switcher. Maybe with time. I am trying to find something that is NOT tobacco that I like and so far am having no success. I can sweeten up a tobacco to where a true Net tobacco vaper would turn their nose up at it and I can be happy with it. But the vapes with no tobacco at all in them just don't hit the spot so far. I can vape a few for a little while, but not often. And they don't satisfy me.

Maybe I am weird. Would not be a new thing for me.

LOL! I think a person needs to be a little possessed to get into DIY and chasing the vape. I'm frustrated with flavors and finding the ADV is essential.

Thanks for pointing that out! You got my back on that one. Nitecore USED to be a good brand, but not anymore. Neither is JetBeam which is a sister company. Trustfire may have crappy batteries but I've heard good things about their new LUC charger. Other than that, I don't think there is a qualtiy sub $50 charger right now.

I'm also guilty of charging batteries while sleeping. After seeing the video on that thread, I'm not sure a frying pan and lid on a stove is enough. But that's also a reccomendation. One person said they put them in the oven too. That might work.

Still, there are tens - hundreds of thousands of these batteries in use every day. I knew that if they were exploding problems it would come to the attention of the community rapidly. I hear about exploding laptop and cell phone batteries too. I don't think people need to be afraid to be cautious, like driving down a highway. There are some things ya do and some ya don't do.

Don't even start with that Kittyn. Moving funds around is an art. Convincing DH that I am actually saving money by spending money is a science he does not believe in. He has me figured out. It used to work. Maybe I lost my touch. Practice makes perfect.

I started this month by saying I had no vape budget for August and I had to be real careful. Let's hope midnight gets here real quick before I can place another 'must have' order for the month of August. I only placed 7 orders this month, but the first one was for the NLV Gold all day vape and I should not count that one. I did spend considerably less than last month though, about half as much. So I am going in the right direction. Right?

Remember those "I can't have new hobbies/more stuff yet!" and the "I am broke and must put off buying ANYTHING vape related for a while" statements I've made? Err... Yeah. I meant them. Yup, yup I did.

I meant to just buy a couple flavorings to try and help some of what I already have. I mean, that's cost, time, AND space efficient, right?

I just don't work that way though.

So... When my husband starts glaring at new hobby/making stuff things, or the bank statement, I can just tell him to take it up with Lox, right? I mean, that post right there was 100% enabler. ;)

((I'm mostly kidding. I didn't break the bank or anything. I just might have to transfer the start of my 'replace the mixer and microwave' funds over to general spending for this week))

Well, I just pulled the trigger on 19 of those TPA flavorings. I plan to use a few to spice up some of my less than flavorful juices and try a little DIY down the line. Turns out I already had an order in my shopping cart there that I hadn't actually ordered yet. They had spare eRoll batteries for $4.99 that I was planning to get anyway, so I just went ahead and added the flavorings to it. I found a coupon code for 5 percent off and paid less than $30 for the whole order with free shipping, so it was a pretty good deal. :)

Mmmm .... Cream!! Please, those of you who don't know the story, don't think less of me!

Yay for new flavorings! Boo for being broke and not buying any!! I used my budget this month for some other DIY, I was running out of flavors for my vanilla custard, so I had to re-up on those, and I needed more vg. There's always next month.

Shari, I sent you a pm, I have vaped myself silly this evening! Found some keepers. . .

I am going to be a "Juice Doctor" and "fix" all my poor broken, underflavored, tired and homeless juices (the ones at the back of the shoe box they are living in). Kind of like the saying on the bottom of the Statute of Liberty. Maybe I will come up with a "fix" for different types of juices and sell them and become rich and famous and make Youtube videos and franchise and retire.

Note: This is being said while I am wide awake and stone cold sober. So don't laugh too much. The best I am hoping for is enjoyable, vapable juice. At least once in a while.

I think it's very individual. Some can buy base at their preferred strength, add flavor and be on their way. A coffee table procedure. Some may order several premade juices and mix them together, in a bottle or tank. Some add more flavor to a premade juice.

Others can take it to a new level up to semi-pro. Think sterilizing jillions of bottles, pipettes, syringes, beakers, eye protection, reciepes, taking notes and labeling.

It's entirely up to you.

That's kind of what I am thinking about too, and with mostly 24 mg juices lowering the nic a little wouldn't hurt anything.

LOL! Now you know the value of weak juice like MBV. I think standard is 10% flavor concentrate and most juice is mixed at 20% flavor (most) so that gives you +/- `10% to play with by adding your own flavors. Get some droppers or syringes and empty bottes which you probably already have. I would't bother with using a needle on the syringe. I think High Desert Vapes has a dropper with markings on it. Protect the markings with clear nail polish or they tend to wash away. Start small with a little at a time and have fun! Remember, what you don't like someone else may. You'll know what not to do next time.

I have some waffles and yes, it does taste pretty good. Have not tried mixing it with anything yet. See waffles and Belgian waffles both listed as separate flavors. What is the difference?

Your still mixing.

If you can, pick up a cake, waffle or graham cracker. Those are good modifiers too and based on what you've said about NLV Gold, I bet you'd like them.

You made me laugh like mad. That is exactly how I felt. And I bought a whole bunch of them and I have no CLUE what I am doing. I swore I would not do it. Yet I did. I did.

Your on my "crap" list. How can I ignore flavor concentrates at $0.99? That's entirely not fair. I should stay away from pg as it is, which has been very very tough (looking at my pluid bottle now). I need to sell a ton of juice already. But, but, but .... $0.99? This is so sad. My brain has melted. Resistance is futile.

Take notes. Even if you don't think you'll ever see that flavor of juice again. A lot of this is learning about flavors, what overpowers what, what blends well, what adds body/richness. If I recall a lot of your flavors were too strong + 5 flavor shots, etc. so you may want to consider picking up some base to dilute them. I don't know if there's anything that can be done with menthol if you absolutley hate menthol. You'd be better to donate that to someone. I think there is a limit to what can be done.

I got to thinking about what you've said re: DH not realizing the money your saving by not buying smokes and buying vape gear instead - What did you used to do when you were buying cigs? Couldn't you continue as normal, but pay yourself instead and put it into a cookie jar, etc? That way you'd have the vape funds (maybe, eventually).

I might even consider doing that for myself as encouragemet. It's kinda tough to do since any extra funds are not really "extra" but gets rolled into paying bills etc. At this moment, I'm pretty sure I haven't saved anythng yet. But soon I hope. It would still be tough - and that usually means I probably need to.

In all honesty... What I have spent on vape stuff is what would normally be my yarn money. Since I'm stocked up on yarn for the moment, I'm actually not spending more than I CAN, just more than I'd like to. This week and next the intent was to spend as little as possible and make a trip to a festival is all. My brakes decided they needed replaced yesterday though and that and some other general car maintenance means we wont be going. So no Matthews festival=some free cash I wasn't really planning on having. :)

The 'more stuff' is the actual issue ATM. The money is not such a huge deal right this instant. At least not in the amounts I spend.

Yarn? They make that out of dog hair too. Visit a groomer. LOL! I've seen some dog hair knitted things. Very soft and expensive. Anyway, just having a little fun.

What? What! You want instant gratification. I have to sample, and savor, and play with the stupid voltage, and blow out the atty, and make sure there is no remainder of the previous juice. This is a ritual. A ritual, I say. FQ is getting the full treatment here. Can't skimp on the .... cream.

FQ - what voltage do you vape this .... cream at?

I'm more of a silk and bamboo yarn kinda girl, Maybe some wool for squish factor :p Gotta have soft, slinky, and shiny all in one. The dog hair stuff is kinda fluffy.

And not joking... I crochet. Most of the pet hair yarn spinning just doesnt cut it. There's not enough length in the strands to hold up to the extra twisting and tension, from what I can tell it'd just unravel into a pile of dog or cat fur... Plus I don't have pets ;)

If you know for certain what you were spending on cigarettes, take the actual money and put it in a jar or box. You know you would spend x dollars a pack a day, or xx dollars a carton a week. And that money got spent no matter what. If you had to go without a Starbucks coffee for cigarettes, you would. Take a peanut butter sandwich for lunch so you could buy cigarettes, you would. You always had money for the cigarettes (I am using the word 'you' collectively in this conversation), so take that money and physically put it in a jar or box. That is your vape budget, period. Period. You can only order the dollar amount you have in the box. When the credit card bill comes in, take the box of money and deposit in your bank account and write the check to the credit card company. NO cheating.

Take notes. Even if you don't think you'll ever see that flavor of juice again. A lot of this is learning about flavors, what overpowers what, what blends well, what adds body/richness.
